Kids Like the OT Too!
Hello There!

I'm a Freshman, and luckily for me I was around in the Pre-Episode I days. I was given the oppurtunity to experience the Original Trilogy in theaters, even though it was the re-release. I feel like one of the last of the original trilogy generation. In 1999, The Phantom Menace came out and a new fan-base arrived. I still have a few friends who remember when Darth Vader was the ultimate bad guy. Yoda was a mysterious figure, and when Obi Wan was an old man who lived beyond the dune sea. But after Episode I, the first star wars movie was no longer Episode IV, it was The Phantom Menace. I'm glad that the Prequals bring kids into the star wars universe, but i wish they would be willing to experiance what they call "the old movies." Maybe episode 3 will do that.

Don't get me wrong, the Prequels are responsible for driving me into super-fandom. Attack of the Clones sparked a great intrest in me. I began to really fall in love with Star Wars in the past 2 years. I was captivated by the production of episode 3, it even sparked a career intrest in me. I hope to become an animator for ILM. And this isnt PT bashing, i love the films.... hardcore OT fans, i beg you not to bash the prequels. Its what star wars would have been if george came up with the saga 30 years later.

For the younger Prequel Trilogy lovers who may be reading this, i ask that you sit down and enjoy A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi for what they are.... classics, masterpieces, and the entire reason you can enjoy the Prequel Trilogy.

May the Force Be With You....
