Rebo Band To Reunite, Tour
Surviving members of intergalactic hit rock group Max Rebo Band have confirmed they are planning a long rumored reunion tour featuring Sy Snootles on vocals.

Max Rebo Band last toured nearly twenty years ago, before late frontman Max Rebo began showing symptoms of Cyoplene, a rare skin disorder that slowly encases its victim in a shiny blue plastic-like compound. Rebo died of the disease in 1991. "We are in the process of looking at venues for a Max Rebo Band tour in the spring," pipeplayer Joh Yowza wrote on his official website. "It really all came about because of the Deathsticks anniversary gig that I did with Sy Snootles. We were both so amazed at the chemistry that was going on in 'Am I Blue?' that suddenly it seemed blindingly obvious that there was something happening here. And if we were to play together some more, which we both thought was an exciting possibility."

Last month, Snootles sang with Yowza and Max Rebo Band drummer Ak-rev during Max Rebo Band's induction into the Outer Rim Music Hall of Fame.

"The rest, in a way, is already history," Yowza wrote. "The show went so incredibly well from our point of view, and we got so many rave reactions from out there, we decided almost then and there that we would look at a tour together."

It's not yet known if Max Rebo Band's other surviving member, the elusive and temperamental Bodonawieedo, will participate in the tour. Drummers Ak-rev and Umpass-stay, having really nothing better to do, have already excitedly signed on.

"I won't go into more details right now, but, barring accidents, Max Rebo Band and Sy Snootles will be on the road, pretty much for sure, all next year," Yowza concluded.

According to Huttese-language press reports, the tour will probably launch on their homeworld of Tatooine, and will probably hit seedy clubs across outlying Mid and Outer Rim trade routes next.

The surviving members of Max Rebo Band have played together at a few events since Rebo's death, including a tribute to Rebo and at the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
