Last weekend I attended the Wizard World comic convention. Several celebrities were signing autographs, including Dirk Benedict (Battlestar Galactica), Joyce DeWitt (Three's Company - I have no idea why she was there), and...let's see...who else? Oh yeah...RAY PARK (Darth Maul) and DANIEL LOGAN (young Boba Fett)!! I got Ray's autograph and took a pic with him! He was really sweet and soft-spoken, and he has kind eyes...very un-Sith-like! It's hard to reconcile the fact that he's the same guy who was so menacing and evil as Maul. There was no line at Ray's table, which surprised me; I expected to see a mile-long line. I felt kind of bad for him that there wasn't a line, and I felt like shouting, "Don't you people know who this is? This is the guy who played Darth Maul, the biggest bad-a** since Vader (well, chronologically he was before Vader, but you know what I mean)!" Anyway, I was so shy that it took 15 minutes for me to work up the courage to approach him. I wanted to say something like, "You totally kicked butt in Ep. I!" Or, "Any new projects in the works?" But all I could say was, "Nice to meet you". Duuuhh! *Insert kicking-myself-Yoda emoticon*. It was a completely surreal experience, and I still can't believe it happened!

I didn't get a chance to meet Daniel Logan, but he looked so cute and friendly - just like his blog avatar.

A few SW artists were on the program; I especially wanted to meet Joe Corroney, who did "Vader's Remorse", my favorite piece of SW art, but I couldn't find him or the others. There was also an autographed pic of Hayden and Ewan in costume, which was selling for over $300. Do you guys know how hard it was for me not to buy that?? I'll tell you...it was REALLY hard! I was very tempted, but you know where temptation leads...that's right, to bankruptcy court.

There were also tons of comics and collectibles, some of which I took pictures (link is below). I couldn't wait to share this with you all. Of course I told my hubby all about it and showed him the pics. He was happy for me, but I know that no one else would really "get" my excitement like my blog buddies!
