I'm not that much into Star Wars games, mostly because I don't have the money, but I've recently gotten a hold of a copy of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. What a thrill! I've played it through once and now I'm at it again. The climax arrives at the end when you
finally get to chose to be a Sith or a Jedi. I can really get into a game and into the character, and the whole time I was trying to make my character be a bad guy and it worked but I was getting frustrated that I couldn't actually turn to the dark side. When the big secret was revealed (for those who have possibly never played this game, I'll try not to give anything away), it seemed almost too perfect and then when the last planet I visited was the location of the Sith Academy, I was primed for choosing the dark side. I even underestimated the power of my character and it didn't help that all the other characters in the game did the same thing. He could cut down dark Jedi and Sith soldiers before his companions even had a chance to help out. It was empowering, even though it wasn't real, but because I was so in to the game it was this crazy adrenaline high and the feeling that I was invincible. Then when I officially turned to the dark side, it was dizzyingly thrilling and dangerous. Then I faced my old foe and even he underestimated my power, it was a long and gruelling battle but I destroyed him and took of the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. It was chilling and thrilling. They say evil never pays but apparently in this game it does.
