Star Wars Episode III: Novel vs. Film
Both the novel and the film of Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith were excellent. Its hard to say which one I liked better. Matthew Stover is one of my favorite authors. He was by far the best guy for the job of righting the novel for the finale of the Star Wars saga. George Lucas did an excellent job of making the movie. As well as Rick McCallum and the other crew members. The movie was excellent and I would say that Revenge of the Sith had both the best film and the best novel. I have only read the Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith novels but I doubt that any of the other novels were as good as Revenge of the Sith. Revenge of the Sith was great and I can't wait for the DVD to come out of Revenge of the Sith. When the DVD comes out I will have a Star Wars marathon at my house. I will watch all 6 DVDs in order on my 28-inch flat screen TV. It will be a day long remembered. George Lucas did a good job with the plot of this movie. Dark, and a good job with Palpatine's lines for the Seduction. Nick Gilliard did an awesome job with the stunts and Hayden and Ewan did a good job with the Anakin vs. Obi-wan duel. In the novel, I loved how Matthew Stover had first-person views on the how it feels to be the character. I especially liked the ending where it says how it feels to be Darth Vader. The novel also had many things which weren't in the movie and I hope to see them on the deleted scenes on the DVD. The novel told me things that I never would have known about if I hadn't read it. I looked for the New Jedi Order: Traitor novel at the bookstore but I couldn't find it. If I ever do find it, I will buy it and read it because it is written by Matthew Stover and he is one of my favorite authors and definately my favorite Star Wars author. I hope in the future they will have a Matthew Stover interview in the Hyperspace interview forum.
