Greedo's HAN-ting #8!

Greedo's lil story is long, complicated, continues and I was fighting off a headache towards the end of drawing this week's strip. Though 'fore I tackle the next strip, I have a few questions...

In panels that're dialogue-heavy, should I type-set the dialogue or is my handwriting legible enough to keep lettering the dialogue? I was debating this when I was working on today's strip. Most of the time my lettering's pretty legible, but since my tablet is a bit more sensitive than a pencil, it picks up the lil shakes and twitches and can sometimes make hand-lettering a bit difficult. Though, type-setting also takes away any sorta emotion I can put into hand-lettered dialogue. So I'm kinda on the fence about this. It'll boil down to legibility whether or not I type-set dialogue in future strips.

Also, I'm colourblind and I'm pretty sure Greedo's colour pallet changes sometimes each panel, even though I myself can't see it unless it's a really, really drastic change. If it's a really drastic change, please lemme know and I'll make a pallet to use for Greedo to keep the colour consistant in future strips.

Anywho, Greedo's story will continue next week. Same HAN-ting Time, same HAN-ting Channel-- err, blog.

And the pic's relevence? None, I just thought it was awesome.

Awesome work!
And nope, the lettering is just fine and the colors are consistant.
As for his body - didn't Wuher turn him into booze?

Yep. Somewhere in the cantina, someone is ordering a Greedo on the rocks. Shaken, not stirred. =P

I like your hand-lettering... when the letters are unique, it adds an element of style. (Unless, I suppose, it's illegible. But no worries there on your part.) As for the coloring... I'm colorblind too, brother! So I'll be of absolute no help there. ;)

Colors look fine and the lettering makes the strip unique.

Great job on these strips. You have a power, I couldn't possibly have. I have no drawing skills whatsoever. Since you're color blind what does the color look like to you, if you can describe it? I know there are different levels of color-blindness.

Can't wait until next week.

Some light-bluish colour. I mostly have difficulty with contrast and I'm red-green colourblind apparently. The thing is, I never really knew I was colourblind until several people pointed out to me that I do "interesting things with reds and greens." Dark greens will look black, same with dark reds. And colours I picture in my head never turn out the same on paper... until I started working in Photoshop and using pallets.

An example of the red/green problem? I swear that there is no green at all in that Greedo avatar. He looks blue. Like a teal blue or something. =/

:^OI love Greedo's mug.:^O

As the guys mentioned above, the hand-lettering really is a nice touch.
The color looks good too. As for Greedo's avatar color, I'd say it's teal that leans more towards the green side of the spectrum than the blue.:)

Brilliant. :D ...Though, if memory serves, Wuher was trying to create a drink to impress Jabba, right?

And like those who've come before me, I agree: the lettering's fine, as are the colors (so far, at least).

By the way--I really like the way your Greedo looks. That shot of him in the center panel is priceless! :)

Like a teal blue or something.
I see it the same way. Am I color blind? That would suck.

Anyway, I love those comic strips. I like the handwriting.
Keep em' as you got em'!
:D
