Welp, today I've officially gotten started with Phase One of the costume design: The model sheet. Usually whenever I design and build costumes, I'll draw 'em out first from various angles. This is just to get a feel of how everything will drape, 'specially if I'm working with, well, drapery. So, after buying a few materials, I made some adjustments to my initial design and drew up a basic model sheet.
Basic turn-around and colour guide.
The colour guide is for the paint applications to the mask. Trak, being the lil half-breed that he is, has a mottled skin pattern, kinda like camo. So, I drew up exactly how his skin is patterned, and what ear has what piercings. For that portion, all that needs to be done is to get some paintbrushes (mine are in storage), clear some room in the garage, and get working.
Oh, almost forgot...
Check out my awesome hat!
Yep, got the mask, though the hat in that picture isn't gonna be part of the final costume. This weekend, I'll be holing myself up in my Creature Shop and working diligently on this costume. Though, I will make some time to crank out a
HAN-ting strip. For the most part, though, my time's gonna be spent working on this costume.
