One thing that i have noticed from all my years reading Star Wars books is the apparent lack of a unified history that includes all the chararcters.

Let me explain.
I was recently reading the story known as The DARK FORCE RISING a good book by my standards but i did find some errors that made no sense. Liea told the Noghri people that the accident which destroyed their planet happened during the clone wars almost fifty years ago. Now seeing how the clone wars only lasted for three years that plus the rain of the empire up to ANH makes 22 years. Adding of course the ten years up to when the book tatkes place makes 32 total years ago that the clone wars started. problem? i think so. their is a diffrence between the two stories by almost tenty years!
In addition in the book I JEDI by Michael Stackpole the chararcter Corran Horn talks to his grandparent about his real granfather who died late in the clone wars. Corran's father who was just a boy and was about ten when this happened. About twenty five or tweny six years later Corran joined rouge squadron. Now if Corran's family had Corran when his dad was twenty it would make Corran only fifteen.
As one can see from the evidence their was about twenty years misssing from the new timeline. During the reign of the empire
There is this evidence and more evidence including an alternate origin of Boba Fett. Who was supposedly a member of the Concord Dawn Protectors.
This has led me to beleive that a new system needs to be put in place, a databank if you will that combines all the stories and all knowledge of StarWars into a single system which makes it so that nobody "rewrites" history into the way that they want it. or uses a character at specific time when another book says that he is somewhere else. As writers continue to write the Star Wars history they are beginnig to be in the position where they can't just make stuff up anymore and sell it as a story. They now have to do more research with there writing and plan out the story. Their are tons of examples within the history of Starwars where situations like the ones that i have showed you do not make any sense. And can be found everywhere.
