Fan Fiction
Emperor Palpatine grinned at thought of what day it was. It had been ten years since he'd wished Yoda "Happy Empire Day" and as the first decade faded into history he was proud at how things had transpired. Of course, it had all been according to his design.

First, no one wished anyone "Happy Empire Day". Palpatine was shrewd and instead had designated this Republic Remembrance Day. A day to recall the glories of the Old Republic and how everything good from those times culminated to form the even more glorious and powerful Empire. Palpatine understood that it would be near impossible to foster hatred for the old system; so why not give it rebirth as founder of the New Galactic Order?

He had made some mistakes. Many citizens doubted the Jedi had attempted to overthrow the government, but before he considered worrying about this development his fears were put to rest; a theory had formulated: some commentator, allied with the Empire, of course, had theorized that there was a failing in the Clone Army and that they experienced some kind of genetic madness which led them to accuse the Jedi and kill them. Palpatine, who so earnestly relied on his clone troopers, took their word and mistook their insanity as zeal. This summation led to the end of the use of clone troopers, and many enlisted in the new Storm Trooper forces. Furthermore, it created the phrase "Clone Wars"; a name given to the battle that led to the end of the Jedi.

The Separtists had all but been forgotten. There were many pro-human/anti-alien laws in place throughout the galaxy. These were based on the fact that the Separtists had largely been non-humans. However, the Emperor had turned this mistrust of different races on those who had not necessarily been Separtists, but who had fallen on his wrong side: Wookiees were enslaved, because they had been such supporters of the Jedi and Mon Calamari, allies of the Republic, suffered a similiar fate because of their early union with the Rebellion.

Palpatine laughed that droids, too, were mistrusted, because of the distant memory of the Droid Army. This mistrust of such an enormously used technology led to the people willingly giving control of such things to the Empire; which made virtually every droid an Imperial spy.

"Happy Empire Day, indeed," Palpatine thought. The first ten years were a raving success.

(NOTE: This story based on a line from the REVENGE OF THE SITH novel)

Empire Day. I wonder how they would celebrate that? Perhaps they would have Jedi Pinatas hung on the bridges of all the Empire ships.:D
Nice job on the blog.:)

Nice; very, very nice. :)

You know Palpatine had to be feeling pretty good for himself. After all, he'd managed to corrupt the Chosen One, destroy the Jedi Order, and take personal control of the Galaxy, all pretty much singlehandedly.....Happy Empire Day, indeed! :D

Oh, I thought you meant something besides that line. Okay! :)
