Thanksgiving
Well, 29 years ago "The Star Wars Holiday Special" took to the airwaves around Thanksgiving; ever since then "Star Wars" fans around the world have associated the holiday with "Star Wars". Here's what you can do to add to your celebration of the Thanksgiving-Star Wars Connection.

1. Why do "Native Peoples" have to be from America? Instead of Indians, dress the kids up as Ewoks and recreate the initial scenes between our heroes and the furry inhabitants of the forest moon. This require a net large enough for several adult family members and a couple pets to play the roles of Han, Luke, Chewbacca, Threepio, and Artoo.

2. Why have turkey when Nerf is a traditional food of "Star Wars"? What...hard to find a Nerf? Most States and territories in North America have Big Foot sightings. A Big Foot will fill in nicely.

3. Instead of "We Gather Together", have the family sing Leia's song from "The Star Wars Holiday Special". Grandma can play the piano while the kids bay like Wookiees in the background.

4. Don't let Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Charlie Brown, and Snoopy dominate your holiday specials, instead, throw in a video of "Droids" and/or "Ewoks".

5. Forget Football, watch a Pod Race (if you have the computer game, you can do this, so don't laugh at me)

Turn a meaningful American observance into another day on the calendar to showcase your "Star Wars" fandom.
