A Rebel's Ramblings

where's the Blitz?
It's that time of year again, time to buy "Summer Preview" magazines. It's something I've been doing since college. This year I expected to find coverage of the new "Indiana Jones" film as well as a certain animated movie. While I have found tons of info and photos from the new "Indy" release, I have seen absolutely zero coverage (outside of the "Star Wars" website) on the "Clone Wars" animated movie. What's up?

I realize this film won't be out for awhile (August 17), but I'm surprised there's not some buzz about it. After all, in the thirty two year history of "Star Wars" (hey, the novel was published in 1976) there has NEVER been an animated motion picture (television, yes, movie, no). I would think this would cause a stir among fans, critics, and causal observers. Instead, where's the press?

I will say that I have also noticed Lucas keeping a tighter rap on "Indy" merchandise until AFTER the release of the film. Tighter than the Prequel memorabilia, which was always available in advance of the movie. So, perhaps, the same is true of the new "Star Wars" film, even to the point of being reluctant to show photos and reveal content until close to show time.

Please let me know if any of you have found "Star Wars: Clone Wars" info in any of the summer previews.
