What's Your Favorite "Star Wars" Moment?
I'm just curious as to what your favorite "Star Wars" moment is. This is open to anyone here. Please select from a moment in one of the six "Star Wars" motion pictures.

Oh, yeah, I'm going to think about what mine is and share that as the last comment.

Please leave a comment.

THANKS!

Probably at the very end of episode 3 from when Vader gets de limbed up to the very end for some reason. My other choice would be the parts in ROTJ with Luke and the Emperor.

mine is a sad one, but it is just so profound, i love it...as the end of ROTS...Anakin screams, "I hate you!". And Obi-Wan says, "You were my brother Anakin, I loved you."

Favorite moment? Man, there's just so many. I've really got to say that my afvorite is either the Vader and Old Ben duel on the Death Star or the "I am your father," line. And then again I love the Duel between Mace and Palpy in the Chancellor's Office. Hmmmm, I've gotta say I love the Chancellor's Office Duel leading into Order 66. A close second is the scene when Luke redeems Anakin.

The lightsaber duel between Vader and Obi Wan in Episode 4 is a favorite of mine, I love Ben's line "only a master of evil, Darth", because it doesn't take much to master evil, you only have to think exclusively of yourself.

^ Great choice by MM13 -- one of my many favorites. Yet I have to say that my absolute favorite moment is when Anakin overthrows the Emperor. It is the most emotional moment for me, by far. Not only is it incredibly touching to see Anakin turn to the light, but it is, in a way, the point of the whole saga -- wrapped up in a single scene. Doesn't get better than that, in my opinion.

WoW, there are a lot to choose from. The end of ROTJ seeing Anakin re-join the force
just as Luke looks over to see Ben and Yoda.

I also like EMS when Yoda sighs and says something about not being able to train Luke,
something like " he is reckless. to much like his father he is"
Yoda was waiting for this moment and now he's not sure Luke is the one to place their hopes on. Obi-Wan reminds him that he ( Obi-Wan ) was not so different.
It's a moment of "it's time to trust" and know that they are placing there faith in the right hands.:)

You mean I have to CHOOSE???

A favorite of mine is when the three heroes are reunited in ROTJ. For a while, before Luke turned himself over to Vader, they were all together. I know they all had their own destinies to follow, so it was nice to see the three of them in one place.

This was a tough decision!!

OK, I love the I Am Your Father moment and the redemption of Vader, and the maiming of Anakin is awesome, but my all time favorite moment is when, following the destruction of Luke's speeder bike on Endor, he ignites his lightsaber, deflects three shots from the oncoming Scout Trooper, disables his bike, and sends him spinning out of control into a tree. Following the execution of his plan to rescue Han on Tatooine (which gets a little chaotic), it's the first time he is totally in control, totally a Jedi. It harkens back to the lesson Obi-Wan gave him with the blast shield helmet on the Falcon in New Hope. When I saw that in the theater in the 80's, the whole audience erupted in cheers. It was awesome.

I also like the moment when Luke observes the twin suns of Tatooine. Very iconic, and it sums up his character without saying a word.

Favorite or most memorable? Not necessarily the same! Most memorable moments would be "No, I am your father" and my sister, who'd already seen the movie, elbowed me in the ribs and whispered "what do you think about THAT?" LOL

Vader leading the clones up the steps of the Jedi Temple with the city lights in the background...

Obi-Wan: "You were the chosen one!"

But I wouldn't call those favorites... I don't think I can really pick one!

Maybe the destruction of the Death Star... the look on Luke's face after the shot goes in...

it's the first time he is totally in control, totally a Jedi

Yes! That's an awesome moment...

The twin suns moment is a great one.

Granny-Wan, I never really thought of the Death Star moment like that, but it's true. Good thoughts!

Hmmmmm....

Favorite moment would probably be when Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan smash up the droids after the "short negotiations" in TPM.

Most profound moment would definately be Obi-Wan's, "You were the Chosen One!" That never, ever fails to shatter my heart. Of course, there's nothing more wonderful than hearing Luke defy the Emperor with the power of the goodness in his heart, saying, "I am a Jedi. Like my father before me." And his Force vision of Ani, Obi, and Yoda at the end is truly a display of the wonder that is Star Wars

My favorite moment is when Vader grabs the Emperor and tosses him over the railing to his death. It is the first and truly unselfish act he makes, in that by grabbing the Emperor, he is sealing his own fate. Every act that Anakin had made up until that point was self-serving. It is in THAT moment that he truly becomes "the chosen one" and not only does he return balance to the Force, but he finally learns the meaning of self-sacrifice.

My favorite is the end of the original - the Throne Room scene! My favorite music, it's such a perfect happy ending and it still gives me smiles and chills to this day.

My other favorite is the first Han/Leia kiss scene... *sigh* :x Oh, you knew I'd have to go there!! ;)

Gee, this is a toughie, fan4, because, believe it or not, it can change.

I'd have to say my favorite Star Wars moment is when Luke tosses his lightsaber away, stands tall before Emperor Palpatine and a besieged Darth Vader, and proclaims, "I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

:D

Thanks for asking.

So many to choose from! My favourite scene is between Vader and Luke on Endor before they head up to the DS II to face the Emperor. Such powerful emotions and words between the two, even before the PT came out. And now that it has, one can just imagine Anakin behind the mask ... and the context of their words becomes even deeper.

Man, it's too hard to choose just one.

My top two are:
1) On Mustafar, when Obi tells Anakin that he loved him; using the word "loved" in the past tense says so much...Obi realizes that Ani is past saving, but Obi's heartbreak and feeling of betrayal are evident in his voice and his words.

2) in ROTJ, when Luke tosses away his lightsaber and says that he's a Jedi like his father before him. Luke shows his nobility and that he knows what it means to be a Jedi and to have faith in the Force, and he also shows his loyalty and faith in Anakin.

REVEALING MY FAVORITE "STAR WARS" MOMENT...

Well, before popularity for this blog wanes too much and before we run out of space, I thought I would share my favorite moment, but if you haven't commented, or want to comment again, please do:

My favorite moment from the "Star Wars" saga is the end of ROTJ. Luke seeing his father (I prefer the 1983 version), Ben, and Yoda. Not just that though, when Leia comes and brings him back to their friends. To me this shows that Luke will remember the past, but live in the present. I have also always felt that the original Ewok celebration truly signified the end of the Empire.

My favourite moment is when I press the eject disk button on my DVD remote.

Seriously though, I would say its the Millenium Falcon asteroid chase scene in The Empire Strikes Back. The whole scene itself is awesome (no other word to describe it) but if I was to pinpoint an exact moment that makes me erect is the bit when the two TIEs are chasing the Falcon through the narrow chasm, and Han banks the ship on its side, the two eyeballs collide, and the day is saved. Sheer class.
