Yoda
Someone who has not had a lot of exploration in the books or comics is Yoda. Certainly he has had more exposure since the stunning lightsaber fight in "Attack of the Clones", but what do we really know about his history, his background?

Years ago, more than a decade prior to the Prequels release, George Lucas talked about having his Prequels set 1000 years or so before what has come to be known as the "Original Trilogy". Perhaps 900 years or so would have been more intriguing.

I'm not asking to see Yoda as a child (we experienced that with Anakin and Boba Fett), but for "800 years had [Yoda] trained Jedi". Imagine the history, both of the galaxy and the Jedi Order, that Yoda would have been involved in and witness to.

I'm not the sort of person who wants to know every last thing about every character (that's why I'm not so hot on the novels), but it would have been nice if the Prequels had been sprinkled with flashbacks of Yoda's past. When and how did he become a master? Who trained him? What did the galaxy look like 800 or so years in the past?

I know we've already seen a lot, but it would be very intriguing to have some of these questions answered. Perhaps a Prequel Prequel Trilogy?
