"Man Bats Don't Fly"
It seems like my popularity on the internet is waning. The last couple of blogs I have done haven't produced comments (the last one none at all) and I just went to amazon.com where my reviews are being ignored (I'm only up to 302 positive votes out of 49 (or so) entries).

Part of my problem at amazon is simply not being interested in the newest releases, so I am focusing on books and DVDs that have been around for awhile (some of them decades--in their movie form).

I think my difficulty at this site is simply not knowing what will receive readership. I suppose I limit myself on that. I haven't read an EU book in probably...oh...about nine years and I have never had computer/video games. Therefore, I am limited to pretty much talking about the films. Did I just write that sentence? Still, on this site, it seems that films have been thoroughly covered.

I wish I had children to pass my interest on to, because that would make for some clever entries, as some of you put in, but alas, I did not marry my high school sweetheart (I think I should have). When I was nineteen I was ready to be a husband and father and would love to have kids approaching their teens by now (I am better with the six and up crowd--kid-wise).

The point of this blog really isn't to feel sorry for myself, however. It's just interesting the way things go. I felt like I was a hotshot on the internet awhile back. I was writing reviews for amazon.com, templetongate, and others. I was naive enough to hope that someone in the publishing community was reading. HA!

OK, so you're probably like (if you're still reading this) where my subject heading comes from. Well, I had a Batman read-a-long book some years back, I was probably seven, and I think it was manufactured prior to that. Anyway, it's a storyline of Batman vs. Man-Bat and Batman, when he captures Man-Bat, says, "Man bats don't fly." It's really an interesting nonsensical kind of statement if you think about it. Perhaps that sums up blogging.
