Rive's 100th Entry Spectacular! (spectacularness not guaranteed)

Wow... I actually made it. Well last time I said I thought I could get away with doing one of these every 50 entries or so... So I'll continue that

Now if you want to get technical this is the 98th blog entry available online, because one was deleted for not being up to my standards and one is blocked due to it coming from the Dark Era of roleplaying on the blogs. I suppose I could rewrite that one and get it unblocked, but I'mnot sure if it's worth the time

Well this started as just a spot I could get a few of my thoughts out and move on... Seems I'm here to stay though. I've lost track, but I think this is up to nearly 1,000 comments. Keep postin' 'em and I'll keep reading/responding to 'em.

Unbeknownst to me, apparently my popularity has steadily been building. Not only am I now the lead guitarist of the Pitiful Little Band (Luuke, you just established yourself as one of the only non-Hyperspacers I can assign a "voice" to now

), but I've also apparently been mentioned on Club Jade in one of their blog spams. Two of my entries in fact... No wonder I got so many hate comments on that Firefly one

I also have a link on an odd tripod page... I'm not sure whether to be happy or confused. Both probably.

I'm also up to page 7 or so if you type in "Rive" on google. I was page 16 about 5 months ago. Movin' on up!

So looking back, what's been done in these past 50 entries?

The Star Wars TV Show Guide is still going strong without updates since there hasn't been any news in months

We're up to an estimated 40,000+ words thus far. 69% of my allotted space limit has been used, so I should be good up to entry 135 or so (Meep!). At which point I will complain to mods/admins to give me more space

Or start deleting my entries I've written in blood, sweat, and tears... I use strange fonts.

Let's see... Some favorites?

● I'll stick chronologically for the other highlights, but I'll bring this one up first. Returning to the Roots of Star Wars was probably my favorite entry in all 100. It sums up my feelings as to why much of Star Wars doesn't have the same magic it used to. It also earned a link from Club Jade

● My little overview/commentary on The Star Wars Holiday Special still haunts my dreams.

● Wow! Was Darth Tyranus Really Necessary? made it to be the number 1 most popular entry for nearly a week! Who'da thunk it?

● Ah my personal answers to Prequel Trilogy inconsistencies and common queries you've served me well to link to instead of actually answering blogs like that.

● Snark! Firing back at someone proclaiming they had made it to the front page with my own I Didn't Make it to the FRONT PAGE!!!.

● And just for good measure. I showed off my mild artistic side with some sketches and such.

● Ooo and still don't forget those patented handy Rive Caedo Divider Lines

So what's to come in the next possible 50 entries?
Let's see... Some conceptual things about how I'd like the Star Wars TV to be mostly done by discussing what's already been done on shows like Battlestar Galactica (Holy bloody hell! Did anyone see that season finale on Friday?), Firefly, and maybe even a Star Trek or two. That and a bunch of random junk as I see fit.

I suppose you could suggest anything you would like me to write some entries about in the comment field.
Not that I'll do it

So here's to another 100 "Largely aimless ramblings!" complete with overuse of Yoda Emoticons, italics/bolding and shameless mentioning of other Sci-Fi series. Cheers!

It was the third draft I think... Hm... Might need to do that. Unless you meant the ones I did with scenes cut out of Star Wars... There are still a few of those left too I suppose.

Congrats and heres to wasting more time reading your next 100 blogs.

Wasting!? What's a more valuable use of time than reading up on why Count Dooku didn't need to be a Sith. Or a guide on a TV show not coming out for like 3 years? Or a review of a TV holiday special that aired almost 3 decades ago? Those are valuable life lessons!

Just out of curiosity, whatever happened to the run for Presidency? We had a couple of rousing campaign speeches way back when, but now that the contest is running, some uscwannabe is taking over. Just out of curiosity, whatever happened to the run for Presidency?

What I find funny is that, recently, starwars.com's leader board has been updated to include the line that "results have not been audited for compliance with full terms of the promotion." And they make special note that this is the "unofficial leader board" -- meaning they could, in theory, just ignore any results they don't care for.

I wonder what brought this on... hmmmm...

When I googled Oboe-Wan I was the first 4 or 5 entries that came up. If I google my real name... well.... DV has the pleasure of pointing out that I look great in a bikini. But if I google my FULL real name, the real me pops up. Not quite as exciting as bikini girl.
