Wow I actually did something more than the teaser image? I'm shocked.
So first up we have a poorly thought out opening crawl (it repeats information about the diplomats twice without much need, ack! I just wanted someone to actually be on a diplomatic mission from Alderaan lol). It's the right length for a crawl at least

And now ( if you dare), take a peak into how my mind forms ideas early on in the semi-creative prosess (I mean... I'm just remoldeling a film trilogy into my own graven image, I'm not actually coming up with something new. I can't call it truly creative  )
Storyboard for post opening crawl scene
This will doubtlessly be expanded into many more panels, but this is just to get the basic concept down on paper for me.
I'll be discussing some fan-fiction concepts in the production diary type thing... So, though Lucas Co would never use the idea since they already made their version of the Prequels lol, I'll be posting them off-site to comply with on-site terms of use.

My, the creative juices sure are a flowing in the uncharted settlements this late night/early morning. I love looking at the storyboards. They look all arty n' stuff.
Man, I wanna make opening crawls like that. I havent bothered trying. Did you use Movie Maker for that (forgetting what DivX is from... DirectX?)?

I used Movie Maker for splicing the crawl and the logo together. If I had been trying to make a "final" version I would have used something better
DivX is a simple (and quite efficient) video codec. (www.divx.com), it didn't do much good to render it in that since I reformatted everything into WMV format... Apparently the DivX logo remained... Heh. Glad this wasn't a final version.

Amazing! I am really not technologically savvy at all. In awe I am. And I love the idea of Padme as a Jedi, but what's with her lightsaber?

Truly cool. I'm pretty much a technological moron, so I'm easily impressed in that area. It looks like you've put in lots of effort. If I were you, the first thing I'd do is develop the story of the construction of Padmes lightsaber.
As I said on Fan 4 Yrs' blog, I enjoy these creative endeavors. I doubt I could ever come up with stuff like this. Looking forward to the next edition.

Wow! Thanks for the support everyone. I honestly didn't expect anyone to be interested at all.

If I were to somehow put immense hours into this little comic book/animation/comic book presentation (Always in motion is the future...) I'd probably do the crawl in Blender for a true 3D effect. Until then though, I'm doing it in nice and simple "LSText" ( http://lsmaker.uw.hu/page.php?main=progs.html). It's nice and easy and looks great (esspecially if I had taken the render time to amp up the smoothing... It might even look better than Blender). Likewise, the lightsabers are likely to continue being done in LSMaker, rather than hand drawn.

Anndii - Had to modify your name to be "Sci-Fi...ish" - I've always liked the idea of Padme as a jedi, so I am waiting what your AU( Alternative Universe) will be like.
Ooo... I'm going to be using AU often now. Was looking for a more catchy name than "Rive's Prequel Project Thing"

That's what I was thinking - that you went pretty quickly in the matter of a day to get that up and posted (unless you had been working on it already). That looks way too easy. I could do it in Flash pretty easy, but not as easy as having it all set up in LSText. Does it have a crappy free-font look when you blow it up?

I'm totally interested in your ideas! I think you should do a new OT and have Luke turn to the dark side and have Leia become a jedi! I think that would be great. Also, I like your name discriptions. Any chance you could do one for me?

Indeed it is easy. I hadn't even considered making a crawl for these until a couple hours before the posting of the crawl
To avoid it looking bad blown up you'll need to turn up your Anti-Aliasing to at least level 3 or so. Franklin Gothic Medium is a good crawl font.

AF - The 1 out of 10 Anakin Fans that DIDN'T recommend Crest Toothpaste for cleaner, healthier teeth - I'm totally interested in your ideas! I think you should do a new OT and have Luke turn to the dark side and have Leia become a jedi!
One thing at a time lol! If I end up enjoying this little media project another could eventually come down the pipeline. An Original Trilogy project would be a bit harder because I wouldn't have any source material for how to draw Original Trilogy characters in the Clone Wars animation style.

You might be able to have sources. You could use the animation from the new animated series. In due time, maybe a little after the show come out, which could be, like forever, you could start a new one with sources from the show.

If the series was a semi-3D style... Then yep. That is the rumor. I suspect Lucas Co. will be better at making it look good though.
