Why Was Padme's Lightsaber Purple?

Hello and welcome to Edition 4 of "WWPLP?"
Potential commenters keep in mind that I'm aware that the "real" Padme was not a Jedi, did not have a lightsaber, and it was not purple.
This is part of my project to create an alternative storyline for the Prequels, most likely in webcomic or comic book format...
You might do well to use that new navigation bar I put in at the top of the entry to go back and view previous entries if you missed them.

So taking a step back from starships from a moment (because Darth Vader completely showed me up

). He did give me a bit of advice at making my lines look a bit better post coloring though. So we now enter Stage 2 of attempting to draw in the Clone Wars animation style: Semi-Half-Almost Decent.

So, though there's no background (the backgrounds in Clone Wars are very simplistic anyway), here's an example of a step further down the line in the process of assembly. At least it's better than the incomprehensible storyboard stage.

It's starting to look a bit more professional... I hope.
The word bubble style is highly temporary I think. The font (plain ol' classic Comic Sans MS) will likely remain however.

The idea in the second frame was to show emphasis on his lop-sided evil grin... But Clone Wars style Dooku has an extremely large neck... So it didn't work out as well as I hoped. I probably will end up showing his whole face in the final version... Or making it an extremely small frame and showing only the grin.

Rive, this is looking awesome. Dooku as a Senator is a great idea. It would be cool to have him as the political idealist that he is first described to be. I was actually disappointed that he was in on Sidious' scheme (for the most part, I bet he wasn't counting on being decapitated by Anakin). It seemed more fitting that he would be a Separatist leader, who saw the Republic as corrupt and wanted change. I think it somehow diminished his character when it was revealed that he too engineered the war so that the Sith could take over.

And now I'm just rambling about Dooku. Carry on, Rive, carry on.

Well I just put Dooku out of the running for Sith Lord of the week... So yes, like Luuke said, this probably increases the odds of Maul getting in. I don't think I can just use Palpatine.

I was gonna ask you if you planned to run into the OT or if it might lead elsewhere . . . running into the OT is better, though - it means you have to aim for that ending, rather than just going where ever you please.

I have questions, plot questions, many Grievous related, but I ain't gonna ask them 'cause I'm hoping you'll get far enough with this that I won't have to

Not that I've stopped thinking it sucks of course.

The Dooku grin works pretty well, I rekon, but if you're doing storyboards you might wanna judge for yourself if a full head would be more approprate.

I liked the special edition the most. Master of the obvious makes his voice heard.
I might suggest putting a litte more emphasis on Dooko's sneer. Maybe more detail? Dulling out the rest of the panel around it?
Am I making any sense? At all?
