Granted we don't know that this is concept art for the upcoming Star Wars TV Series (what else would they make such a big deal about?)... But I'm going to assume that my constant (uh... one blog entry and a comment on a VIP blog) complaining about the fact that Star Wars TV concept art and basic plot outlines were likely in production and us paying Hyperspace members weren't getting even a trickle of it! Thanks to me we're getting this.

The delusions of grandeur are strong in this one.

Ok so... It's an image... One single low-resolution image... One concept art image that may or may not affect the final product at all.

Woo! This is the biggest news about Star Wars TV yet!... Kinda sad ain't it?

The most important thing to note about this image is... Those are classic stormtroopers! All of their visors are separated into two separate pieces instead of one connected visor... So we're either far enough into the timeline to have real stormtroopers... Or at least far enough to have another transitional armor style. I'm hoping for the former.

Our Jedi friend has two blue lightsabers... Interesting. A bit too "Omgz! Look, he's so cool! Who cares if he can act or not? Who cares about character development? Just look at how much stormtrooper butt he can kick! Watch tonight at 9 on FOX!"... But these fears are, of course, completely unfounded. It's only one image. I'll save judgment for a bit further down the line.

But wait... What's this? Our (seemingly) female companion on the left has her arm extended to (from my point of view) create, or assist with, the force power.... One image and we're already up to two Jedi? What happened to the Empire hunting down and destroying these guys? One of 'em better be dead by season 2!

Our other companion (also seemingly female... Wow. Two female possible main characters? It's Star Wars sacrilege! Leia and Padme were surrounded!) is a bit harder to read... But looky there! She's the only one in the group to have a holster! So perhaps we don't have a full three Jedi? Or at least we have a Jedi willing to shoot a bit.

Also of note: Our central Jedi is wearing black. If they stick with Lucas formula then this guy is either going to turn dark or get dang close.

Woo! Some news is finally working it's way into our hands. Am I scared? Yep! But it ain't lookin' bad so far. In the very least if they manage to execute anything close to an effect such as the one in this concept image then it'll be the best looking show on TV... Acting and writing are still up in the air

May the Force be with Star Wars TV... But let's throw in a few smugglers too, eh?
