 | Aw, we've come out of Hyperspace into a meteor shower. |
So my internet woes are finally finished I think and I should be getting back to reading entries at a regular pace again... but could we make sure I want to?
I missed this entire big deal that happened in my absence and have - despite many of the links being dead and chapters of the conflict deleted - worked out what seems to have gone on. Because the offending comments have been removed and other such things it's quite difficult to figure out who was involved and who wasn't. Personally I think the best idea is for all involved parties to just let it pass, learn their lessons, and move on. There were no winners here.
It was actually a bit interesting unravelling the layers of the conflict. What could have caused such a massive uproar from the "PLB"? I hurry through weblinks on the blogs, in blog feedback, on the PLB Off-Site blog, and even a few random Google searches to find cached pages. And I seem to be left with this: a three hour ban.
...
A... three... hour... ban?
All parties involved seem to have overreacted here. I can't help thinking that perhaps I could have helped cool things off before they even started if I had been here using my "mighty" "influence" as the lead guitarist for the PLB. Of course that was back when the PLB was a tiny little joke and not overflowing with every blogger worth his or her spice.
So let me get my mindset out there.
_______________________________
"PLB Member" - A Blogger who is generally well liked due to his or her overall attitude in entries and comments. This blogger is also generally more concerned with quality over quantity of entries. Any good contributing member of blogs.starwars.com can be qualified as such.
"The Official Pitiful Little Band Fan Club" - An off-site project that allows non-Hyperspace members ("realspacers") to get their thoughts out there (for anyone that cares to go looking for them) and allows long-contributing PLB members to get entries out there that would violate blogs.starwars.com rules (IE: Fan-Fiction, Fan Films, very short entries).
"Banned Member" - A member who broke the rules of blogs.starwars.com after agreeing to them. Hopefully they didn't break them bad enough to not become a "Member Formerly Known as Banned" ( ﺶ)
_______________________________
And that's my word on the subject which I don't fully understand and don't wish to fully understand. Hopefully we'll all be getting back to fun entries now? I have about 2 or 3 weeks of entries to catch up on reading.. I think I'll be skipping the last few days I missed though.
The PLB is only a good thing when people are having fun. Please try to keep that in mind when you post anything. Because in the long run, we're all members of the Pitiful Little Band of the Rebellion. That includes Hyperspacers, Realspacers, Mods, Admins, VIPs, and even The Stooge.
So... remember ye "Golden Rule". It's generally a good way to steer your way through things like this. Always keep in mind the "Silver Rule" of not posting Fan-Fiction directly though, that's important too
I'll save the Bronze Rule for when things explode again.

A three hour ban, a three hour ban

The tiny site was tossed
if not for the courage of the fearless mods
the blogs would be lost
the blogs would be lost

So this is the tale of our bloggers,
they're here for a long, long time.
They'll have to make the best of things,
it's an uphill climb.
Bonniegrrl and Pabawan too,
will do their very best,
to make the others comfortable,
in the online nest.
No flames, no cussing, no fan fiction,
not a single luxury.
Like ewoks throwing rocks,
it's primitive as can be.
So join us here each day my friend,
you're sure to get a smile.
From seven (thousand) bloggers,
Here on Star Wars Blogs!

*Weird* Not only have I considered using the alternate title Frak on several occasions, but I also have been having some iternet woes on and off (and I agree with all of the above entry, and support the Giligan's Island theme being used). What did you say your home moon/troop was again? I *gulp* fear we may be related somehow.

Yea, though you missed some excitement and the bad times have indeed passed, I'm glad to say we have moved on to more pleasureable times once again and am glad you are back. Too bad you weren't here, though.
Great Gilligan's Island parody! Off the cuff?

It's great to hear that your internet problems have been sorted out, Rive. It's unfortunate to have to come back to this mess, but as hansgirl said, most of it has passed. The best thing to do now is to keep bloggin'.
Nice use of "frak," by the way. However, as part of my ongoing campaign, I would like to promote the spelling of "frak" as a four letter word. But I suppose you old-timer original series fans will never change your minds. I'm still waiting for someone to use "felgercarb."

Yeah, I'm somewhere in the sixties, but not quite up to 129.
I, too, was trying to recreate things out of a morbid interest, but, being technologically challenged, didn't think of checking with google. The don't edit content here in the states, only in China, I hear.

"Frak" is just so crisp and clean... but then again, "frack" has me all sentimental for season one.
Ok, You sure have a way of cutting through the felgercarb!
Sweet!
BTW - (the obligatory) Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
Geeze - can't beleive no one used that yet.

Wow, you actually changed it.
Now, will further lobbying lead you to reveal ye bronze rule of blogging prematurely? Or is ye bronze rule simply a bunch of felgercarb?
No on both counts, I expect. Heck, I just wanted to say "felgercarb."
