An Unaltered Clone: Robo-Fett
I'm sure many people have seen this by now, but I'll throw it up anyway since it probably hasn't been mentioned recently in the least.
NASA unveiled a robotic unit named Robonaut designed mostly for repair work. It bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain bounty hunter.
I think it was almost certainly a group of engineers being clever, but NASA says the similarity is entirely coincidental. I'll let you judge for yourself though.
That is very curious. How is it that all of a sudden we see a working robot that resembles Jango/Boba Fett. Thats pretty weird. This needs some investigation.
Hey, sorry I cought this kinda late. I actually saw the Robonaut live when it was displayed at WIRED NEXT FEST at the Jacob Javits Center here in New York. And I agree, it was very eerie to see how much it looked like the bounty hunter. NASA and the Robonaut website offer no hint as to the similarity, which makes it all the more weird. However what I thought was the most fascinating was the display of the interior of the new Space Ship Two. It's supposed to offer commercial space flights. the detaild of which can be found here
