Back to back Star Wars referances on American Dad.

I assumed there would be a blog on this by now, but I did a skim of recent blogs (A quick skim mind you, 14 pages or so of blogs since the episode aired on Sunday!)

Though riddled with Star Trek references for the most part, last week's American Dad episode featured 2 back-to-back Star Wars references towards the conclusion.

The first being the main topic of interest:
"Fellow dorks, this is the man who convinced Lucas to not release the anamorphic 5.1 DVD transfers of the original Non-Special Edition Star Wars Trilogy"

It takes about 10 seconds just to say the blasted thing... And I understood every word of it. Although I admit to nothing I could see myself being in that crowd of people growling then pouncing...

The second reference is apparently to the semi-famous "Star Wars Kid", keep an eye out for Stan bashing 2 stormtroopers together and snapping an Ewok's neck (which I'm sure drew some cheers from certain Star Wars fans).

Some other references in the episode included Stan's son having a TIE fighter, X-Wing, R2D2, and a lightsaber toy in his closet.

Although non-Star Wars related the last Sci-Fi joke drawing a laugh from me was Stan's son role-playing as the original Star Trek cast with his friends and referring to his Japanese friend as "Chekov" who responds (in Japanese) "Your decision not to make me Sulu shows amazing racial sensitivity."
To immediately refute this claim another friend walks up with his eyes stretched by his fingers saying "I'm Sulu"

Takin Over For Talon

In the new Untold Stewie Griffin Story Family Guy DVD there are two SW references.

1.Peter has his own segment on the news where he says what "grinds his gears"...

"You know what really grinds my gears? When I can't find the droids I'm lookin for."

Then it shows two stormtroopers sitting in front of the tv eating dinner and one says "Yeah what's up with that?"

2. Stewie is about to steal a car and there are Jawas all around it and Stewie goes up to them and shoos them away saying "Wutini! Wutini!"

Cleveland's really mad, ready to kill Quagmire when the camera pans to the left and you see the Emperor saying, "Goood. I can feel your anger." Then Lois just slaps the crap out of him. Not sure if that is the exact quote, but it was dang funny!
