Now questions like:
"Why couldn't Anakin jump further over Obi-Wan?"

"Why do buzzdroids go thru shielding?"

"Why did the Super Star Destroyer crash into the Death Star II once the bridge was blown up? Wouldn't it just float there, or have a secondary bridge take over?"

I don't mind those questions. They aren't expressly answered in the film.

The Falcon's Hyperdrive being broken was a pretty big plot point in the film. They can't lightspeed away from the Star Destroyers because it's broken, so they head into the asteroid field to evade them. Then they have to set course for Bespin because it's a "close port" for repairs on the Hyperdrive which was broken, did I mention that?

The Hyperdrive being broken was the whole reason they went to Cloud City it was close enough they could reach it at Sublight speeds in a month or so (time given in the novel supposedly) otherwise it would have taken them years to reach somewhere! Who honestly could fork over $40 to be a Hyperspace member, and NOT know that "Hyperdrive = Fast, Sublight = Slow"?



There are some other things that pop up like this of course, but this one topic shows up again and again and again.

As a side note, the Falcon taking a month to reach Cloud City makes everything work better. It gives Boba Fett time to figure out exactly what course they have set, return to Vader's Star Destroyer, convince him he knows where the Falcon is heading then have the Imperial fleet "Arrive just before you did". It also gives time for Yoda to train Luke and most importantly (in my mind) gives time for Han and Leia to fall in love. (A month cramped up on a ship together...)

By all means keep blogging! Blog about all topics of the rainbow, but please, watch the movies and pay attention to what non-Jedi are talking about.

Note: Any misunderstanding of Hyperdrive, Sublight speeds, or why Super Star Destroyers crash when the main bridge blows up is entirely my fault and I should be berated for it, thank you.
