Well, I gave up watching it on Sci-Fi channel and bought "
Firefly: The Complete Series" on DVD. 15 hours of Widescreen, DVD Quality, Surround Sound, Commercial Free goodness.
Suffice it to say that I've been having them running on my TV or running in the background on my computer far to much than is likely healthy for human viewing.
"But there were only 15 episodes, don't they get boring?"
How many times have you seen our 12 hours of Star Wars?
Anyway, the brief topic I want to get out there this time around is the themesong.
Give it a listen:
Here
First off, it's incredibly awesome that Joss Whedon (creator of the series) wrote it himself, the DVD set even includes a version where he plays and sings it himself (not as well as Sonny Rhodes does in the real version, but it shows his devotion to the series

)
It's also joined the thin ranks along with the Star Wars main theme, the Imperial March, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and maybe Gilligan's Island (that tune is catchy!) of songs I'll hum idly without realizing it until someone asks me what song it is
Supposedly
Serenity hardly uses the song at all, which I find fairly unfortunate, the soundtrack they do use is supposed to be awesome anyway though. Guess I'll find out when I see it in a day or 2, sure I'll have 1 or more big writeups on that.
[
Sidenote] overuse Yoda's to convey emotions, I doubt I can stop using emotes for that so can we get some Luke, Obi-Wan and Vader emotes?

(Ack! I did it again!)
