Order to watch the movies: Analysis: Part 2
Well I just noticed one of my old blogs had "Part 1" in the title, I have no idea what I orignally planned to do with Part 2, but here goes something new anyway.

A friend recently put forth this order to me.
___________________
IV, I, V, II, III, IV, V, III, VI

A bit of a fragmented order to be sure, but here's what you get.

Episode IV: A solid introduction to the universe that most of us started out with, a great way to start to be sure. You don't know who Vader is.

Episode I: Skip back 30 years, you have another Skywalker now, but no connection to Vader. So basically you're getting the story of Luke's father before he became a Jedi Knight and "followed old Obi-Wan on some damn fool idealistic crusade." The viewer will hopefully assume that all of the councils "Clouded this boy's future is" is supposed to be alluding to Vader killing him.

Episode V: Drop back into Luke's life being pursued by the man who killed young Anakin the viewer now knows. Holy hell! That IS Anakin Skywalker. How did THAT happen?

Episode II + III: Well that's how that happened. You do ruin the fact that Luke and Leia are twins though.

Episode IV + V again (Optional): Lets the viewer see IV and V from a new perspective.

Episode III again if IV and V were watched again
: Sets up Anakin's fall again for the viewer for...

Episode VI: Here you are, the end of the saga. You met Luke and Vader, then you met his father, then found out Vader was his father. Found out how that happened. Then finally get to see the full circle of Anakin's redemption.

So there you have it. You get the best introduction to the saga in my opinion, where things really heat up, Episode IV. Then you get to see Episode I from a unique perspective, knowing that he's Luke's father, but you think he's doomed to be killed by Vader not actually become him. Boom! Episode V you get the big plot twist unspoiled. Head back into Episode II and III back story for how that happened. Then see the saga conclude.

Any major problems with this setup?
