The Best of Firefly: Tomorrow on Sci-Fi
In my continuing quest for awareness of my favorite Sci-Fi Series that isn't a mutli-national global success of a saga (You know... Star Wars?) here's yet another Firefly blog entry!

If you have no intention of giving a series besides Star Wars a chance you can leave now I suppose, scroll down to the bottom for the Star Wars mini-blog. Or go to another blog... Look!!! There's a blog asking why Leia could remember her mother over there in the corner! That's an original idea!... :p

Still here? Ok maybe you caught the first 2 episodes of Firefly over the past 2 weeks on Sci-Fi... Maybe you didn't (for shame!). In the case you did catch those episodes and fully intend to continue watching it Fridays at 7:00 PM EST on Sci-Fi Channel I'd just keep doing that and ignore this rambling.

If you didn't catch those and have no intention currently of giving Firefly a chance for its full run in order then... There's a nice little mini-marathon tomorrow (November 22) starting at 7:00 PM EST on Sci-Fi Channel for 4 hours. That's 4 hours of Firefly goodness without having to wait a week for the next adventure in the 'verse :)

Sure you're starting from the middle of the series, but these were 4 of the best episodes in my opinion so they're well worth watching if you didn't take my advice and see the first episodes. And besides, Star Wars is just fine if you start from Episode IV isn' t it? :D

There's a brief overview of the series shown before each episode, so pay attention!
You also might want to read my blog with 10 things to know about Firefly.

Episodes being featured:
Jayne's Town: A Robin Hood style story with a twist.
Out of Gas: (Probably my favorite episode) An emotional episode that flashes back and forth between the origins of several characters and the ship and a story in the present.
Ariel: How to infiltrate a hospital of the future in 3 easy steps! :p
War Stories: A direct continuation of an earlier episode in the series, so you may want to skip this one... They give you enough background of what happened if you want to watch though :)

Keep Flyin'

Star Wars mini-blog:
*blindly hopes you read the above blog*
Ok so I couldn't justify turning this into a blog of its own, but for those of you keeping track this would probably be...

"Star Wars: The TV Show: Episode VII"
Public opinion flocks in

A blog title that will be granted to my next more substantial Star Wars TV related thought. So anyway... To the topic at hand.

theforce.net featured a poll posing the question: "For the upcoming Star Wars live action television series, whom would you most like it to revolve around?"

Over 14,000 people responded. So this is probably the first major responce from Star Wars fans on the direction of the TV Series.

I was somewhat surprised to see "Other" outranking Boba Fett (the only character of the 3 options which could possibly occur. What with Boba's popularity still seemingly fairly high.

I'd like to have seen how much of that 42% responding "Other" had "Darth Vader: Forging an Empire" in mind... Despite that also not being a possiblity for the TV Show (as per stated quotes you can find in my Star Wars TV Series Guide linked at the bottom of this blog if you haven't read it).

That said the poll results aren't entirely unexpected, I actually would think a bit more of the Luke votes would have been filtered into Boba Fett.

Keep Flyin'... Er... May the Force be with you.
