MAJOR SPOILERS!
Still here?

Maybe you noticed the exageration in the preview line?

Or maybe you just don't care about what I have recently discovered is my biggest pet peeve.

Revealing Spoilers

I didn't really even think about seriously until a few days back when I was watching a the season finale of the first season of the new Battlestar Galactica in which a major plot twist occurs (No I'm not going to tell you what it was, that's the whole point here!) my friend then immediately piped up that the situation had no bearing because of a commercial he had seen for the later events in the second season which meant nothing would really happen due to the plot twist.

I then went into a brief (but loud considering the fictional subject matter) rant about why he shouldn't do that and now the next 3 hours or so of the series would have little or no meaning to me.

To make my point more clear, can you really get the full shock value of "No, I am your father" if you know it's coming? Thus my ongoing quest to create a way to see the saga for the first time without ruining it, but not ruin the Prequels as well.

Of course, along with most of us, I knew exactly how the prequels had to go, what had to happen by the end. I still avoided spoilers! I still didn't want to know who killed Grevious until I could see it with my own eyes. :O

I, am your father
The secret of Darth Revan
The truth that fried up River Tam's brain
*SPIKED*
How Anakin would finally make that cross to the Dark Side
The entire New Jedi Order series

I'm sure there are others, but these are the big ones that popped into my head right now. All major plot twists that I somehow avoided being spoiled before I saw it with my own eyes. And I'm happier for it. Go ahead and read your movie novellizations before it hits the screen. Just don't tell me about Order 66. :)

So what does this have to do with Star Wars besides the most famous plot twist of all time?

When the Star Wars TV Series finally hits in 2007, don't expect me to be discussing the death of General Newguy until it actually hits the broadcast waves. :p

I remember when The Sixth Sense was released and my brother's stupid (former) friend told me the (now commonly known) plot twist to that movie.

Reminds me of Friday, when I accidentally dropped the Wash-bomb on a friend. I swear, the way he was talking you would have thought he had already seen the movie..........

I feel the same way about watching the movies. And even though I know how ROTS turns out, every time I watch it again I still catch myself pleading with Anakin not to save Palps from Windu. I guess I haven't figured out that there are no alternate endings on the DVD I bought.

The ROTS was a great movie for me: because it finished the story that I loved. Unfortunately, there will probably never be another movie.
