Next week my Hyperspace subscription expires, and I'm not renewing it.

There hasn't been much in the way of HS extras lately that has captured my interest. The re-introduction of ads was just the final straw.

I'm not annoyed, and I'm not going to rant about it. The way I see it, Lucas Online are free to make whatever commercial decisions they see fit. But equally, as a customer I'm free to choose not to buy an inferior product. Such is the beauty of capitalism.

Ultimately, this means this blog is about to close. That's okay - I've said pretty much all I wanted to say on it anyway. It's been a year since I last posted anything SW-related. And I've still got my livejournal.

While my interest in HS may have waned, this doesn't mean my interest in Star Wars has. Far from it. I'll still be around on the boards from time-to-time, and as I type this I feel a familiar urge to go watch Episode IV once again.
