Well, looks like I'll be at the New Otani Hotel in LA for CIV! Seems like a really nice place and I found a pretty good package that includes airfare.

It's kind of bittersweet for being in Los Angeles. On one hand, it's a popular city, lots to do, great weather, etc....but then it's super expensive (which can really outweigh any positives lol). The financial feasibility of going has been my main concern and a real stressful one at that. After all I'm pretty much your typical broke student.

And another thing! It's amazing that I can slice $300 off my airfare if i just flew out of Buffalo. Flying out of Canada seems to instantly hike it up real high. I guess it might have to do with border taxes or what not. But then that means I need to take a coach bus to get to Buffalo and...dklfjsdkfjsfiljsdf.

Deep breaths! I must focus on the good times awaiting at CIV

Before I forget, thanks for all the feedback about reading the books. I hope to fire up my library card soon to start reading!

I really can't wait to read about the stories. That is one of the biggest reasons I love Star Wars because it's so vast, you can always read something new about it. The stories continue on and on. I love that.

Especially too all the things that have come out of Star Wars like the toys, games, and the art! I love art be it fan films or visual.

I like to draw myself, I have not done much seriously in the way of Star Wars, I usually like go to the museum and sketch things there.

GalacticBabe did a really great X-Wing in her latest blog. She has inspired me to give it a try! lol I reallllllllly love all the transports of Star Wars, the smaller ones (as opposed to the capital ships). Like the starfighters, x-wings, y-wings, TIEs, all the Naboo ships, pretty much all of them. I think it has to do with interested in flying anyway--I plan to hopefulllly someday get a pilot's license myself.

Sometimes I amaze myself how much I can write in these things...I'm pretty chatty actually so better get used to it cause I might do worse in the future

I'll be sure to keep you posted on all my thoughts on the books, perhaps future drawings, or I'm also prone to the odd rant. I am also capable of asking lots of questions haha.
