This is it, folks. The BIG DAY has finally arrived.
I am, once again, reminded of how really cool and diverse Star Wars fandom can really be.
Y'see...I have two loyalties on the fan end of my fandom:
Hothlanta Rebels (Atlanta's unofficial Star Wars club) and
Club Jade (an internet-based club).
So what do you do when the BIG DAYS in Star Wars arrive? It's really hard on a fan when having to choose.
I have had to come up with a bit of a compromise. I was able to spend some time with my local buds at the
Atlanta Camp-Out and Line-Up. We sat around and watched movies, talked to the media a lot, talked to the mundanes a lot more. What a great experience!
And in just a little bit, I head out to the airport for a trip to DC to see the movie with some of my Club Jade buds. I'll enjoy seeing the reactions of the Jaders. I look forward to hearing about the reaction of the Rebels.
Bottom line, though, is that this is still a bit of a solitary thing. The movie is ours to experience, alone. It's all in how it impacts us, personally. I hope that the festivities leading up to the BIG DAY are fun for you and help you get ready to enjoy the great ride that is Episode 3!
