Why, yes. I am posting a second book review in as many days. This one didn't take long.

Last night I took another book off of the reading mountain teetering dangerously next to my bed. The one I grabbed was Letters to George: The Best of George Lucas Fan Mail.

Let's put it this way: I get these books so you don't have to!

I don't know who this person is and how he manages to actually get the letters sent to George Lucas. (He doesn't say either in his book or on his website.) But this is supposedly a collection of the "best" ones.

Well, if the best ones consist of only two actual fan letters, then I feel for George. The rest of the 30 or so letters he includes are written by folks who: a) have no grasp on reality; b)can't speak English and are, I'm assuming, amusing to this person; or c) both!

I guess I was hoping for a collection of sweet letters written to George by fans who have been moved by Star Wars. Nice expressions of thanks. That kind of stuff.

Only a few of the letters are that way. Skip this one.
