Anywayz, I'm back. And I am here to talk about Legacy of the Force.
We all know it got some great reviews and some damn bad reviews,
and so did NJO. But, over the net, NJO is more favored by LotF.

Here's what I think of LotF and NJO an here's my explanation :
I hate NJO. People love it because its 20 books long and there's quite a connection, and I totally understand.
But it strikes me as totally unoriginal, and its lack of potential is too critical and can't be saved by good story developement, no matter how good it is. The Vong sound like a load of crap to me, and they are probably the weakest part of the EU.
Of course, Dark Empire had a weak concept, but the book itself pAWnD.


As for LotF, I pretty much agree with everything said; it was a masterpiece, extremly well crafted, until Inferno, were things are starting to get strange.
Jacen suddenly becomes the greatest scourge to the galaxy and no one can touch him.
And then there comes Invincible, which totally messed up the series. It was incredibly rushed, short, and fast. As if they wanted to put 10 years in 300 pages...It's not Denning's fault.
It was the fact that they "had" to close with 9 books. 12 would be great, but 9 feels odd.
Plus, they wanted the whole war to end within a year.
But, overall, LotF is far better.

And if you all assume that Invincible takes place 2 years after Revelation, then its a masterpiece. How do you like that fanon?

Overall, it LotF is a great series, getting 7.5 out of 10, and if it weren't for that Invincible mistake, that would be 9.5 outa 10.

I read Betrayal and started Bloodlines, and it's good so far. I'm looking forward to reaching Inferno, where I think the real fun starts. Maybe it starts gettin messed up there too, but, the war at its full form starts on Inferno.
With the fanon monster I've made (Revelation-2 years-then Invincible), I'm ready for anything!
