Well, I'm still sleep deprived, tired, and my feet ache, but I've finally returned to civilization after a week of geek debauchery.
It was another unforgettable experience filled with freebies, collectibles, surprise movie star appearances, incredible revelations, bad food, crowds, and spending too much money. This year I was smarter about getting more sleep, given that I'm 5 months pregnant. Although I only slept 5 hours every night, I made sure I had a pillow and blanket in my SUV in order to take my daily afternoon nap. I also had a cooler filled with fresh ice every day and plenty of bottled water. I live in San Diego. However, as an experienced con attendee, I always arrive by 6:00 AM to park downstairs from the convention center. The car is the base of operations. It allowed me to take in a quite of haul of freebies. I attended from Preview Night through Sunday when the exhibit hall closed. I also attended the night time programming.
This year's film highlights were the sneak preview of Tron 2, yes Tron 2. Some of you may have seen the bootleg trailer online. This movie is going to kick some serious ..... The Spirit also looks absolutely awesome. I love Samuel Jackson. BTW he said his favorite action figure that has been created of him is Mace Windu.

The new Friday the 13th looks good, although I'm annoyed that they aren't including Mrs. Voorhees. They are pretty much picking up where the first movie left off. The Disney movies Up and Bolt look really good, too. I particularly was very impressed with Up. It's a story of an elderly widower who has owned a victorian home in a part of town that has been redeveloped and now imminent domain has forced him to be taken off his land, but not before escapes with the house! The Lost panel was also fun. Although they didn't give us any new information, Matthew Fox made a surprise appearance and oh baby! He is hot!
On Friday morning, we attended the Hyperspace Breakfast at the Marriott. We got a nice t-shirt and the Hasbro Con exclusive. Dave Filoni was there to talk about the Clone Wars. He's surprisingly a very nice person, personable, friendly and a true fan. He even autographed my Hasbro action figure. The Star Wars special in Hall H was good, too. We got to hear more about the TV series, video games, and Dave spoke some more to the fans. I didn't get to see Fanboys since I didn't get a ticket, but I did see Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Robert Smigel was there to present his new DVD of TV Fun House. He is so hilarious!

On Saturday we saw the Sarah Silverman panel. She is so crass, rude and funny. I never miss her panel. On Sunday I saw two new episodes of Spongebob. They were pretty hilarious! I love Spongebob.
Our club had a table in the mezzanine and we got to meet many Star Wars fans. We had several raffles and gave some cool stuff. Our annual Trivia Panel consisted of Star Wars and Indiana Jones questions. It was a big hit and we gave some nice prizes.
When the con ended I was so exhausted. I stayed through the announcement when they declared it was over. It was bitter sweet, but I was relieved it had ended. I was so tired and really needed to rest my feet. I can't wait 'til next year!
