20th May 2005 Pre-movie Entry
Dear Diary,

Finally, after all this waiting, in a few hours time I'll have seen what I hope will be the best Star Wars movie ever. True to my word, I've exiled myself from the boards simply because I don't want to know what everyone else thinks of the movie...I want to see it without any preconceived ideas.

I know I'm going to have to watch it more than once mainly because, due to the overexcitement that will take possession of my senses, it's likely I will miss more than one bit of the movie.

Right after I'll finish typing this I'll watch EpI and EpII so I'll do the whole marathon thing. I've already watched the OT since I believe that, EpIII will change the way we see Darth Vader forever...

I hope I will have time to do a light yoga session before I go to the movies so I calm down enough not to kill anyone who dares make any sort of noise in the theatre. I'm not sure if I will succeed though, just in case, I will leave my killalotofidiots-lightsaber at home.

This takes me to the next section of this senseless rambling of mine: people who go to the cinema with no apparent intention to watch the movie.

I mean all the people who just go there to talk to the people next to him/her, eat/drink like there is no tomorrow, of course, absurdly noisily and generally disturbing the rest of us who, stupidly enough, pay a cinema ticket to actually watch a movie.

Oh, and don't get me started with mobile phones...]:)

Anyway, let's change topic.

Have you all wondered why, in a galaxy as technologically advanced as the one in Star Wars, they couldn't get the R2 units to talk normally? It's always buggered me that R2 D2 is always beerping and blurping and we cannot understand a iota of what he says...I bet he's taking the #### at everybody half of the time...

Okay, you've probably not wondered about this at all...unless, like me, you are as bored as a bear hunter in the Sahara desert...

Anyway, I'm off for now...if I'm not too excited when I return from the cinema, I'll write a post-movie entry today...if not, well, I won't, will I?

Lots of love,

Sanae :D
