SURvey SAYS!....
Hello there...

Quite simply, here are the answers to the survey questions that I begged you to ask me on my last entry.

My thanks to everyone who asked one!

jediprincess77 asked....

What's on your key chain?

An "I (heart) NY" round metal medallion. Got it in NY shortly after 9/11, and it's been there ever since. And that's all I have on my keychain, I'm rather minimalist.

Which item in your SW collection is most meaningful & why?

Ooh, such a tough one. Probably the 3 book-and-records from the OT that I've had since I was a kid. They're in really nice condition, and I really loved them when I was growing up. And yes, I said book-and-"record"! Feelin' old here.

What is your favorite way to chill besides watching SW?

Well, I love all kinds of movies, and watch the Discovery and History Channels alot.... as far as the rest of TV goes, it's pretty much poodoo to me (until this Fall, of course!).

Oh, and Wheel Of Fortune is also the best. :D

I also love art, especially classic art, and I like to go to our big wonderful library here (Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, truly amazing) and pour over stacks and shelves of art books for hours. Haven't done that in a while though. I'm also a fan of all kinds of music, from classic Jazz and Blues to 70's Rock to 80's Pop to Disco to R&B, and although I have my favorites, I love to discover new stuff.

Oh, and I hang out with friends, maybe do a little shopping, get a bite to eat, blah, blah, blah! Nothing real exciting... no Mt. Everest climbing, searching for buried treasure, or hostage negotiating.

hansgirl3 asked....

What is the first SW item you remember getting/receiving?

The Land of the Jawas playset, which I'm pretty sure I got for my 5th birthday... it was alot of fun to play with, even though it was just a tan plastic base and a cardboard cutout of the Sandcrawler. But... it came with the escape pod!... truly the best part, and all of the neighborhood kids just envied me that I had that. The playset disappeared a long time ago, I think it mostly just fell apart! :p

nob01 asked....

Which character could safely be excluded from the saga? Explain

Oh, geesh! Lemme think...

JAR JAR.

SO cliche, but what did he really do?! It wasn't necessary for him to meet Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan... or anyone! I'm sure they could have found the help they needed on Naboo themselves, and after that, he really just got in the way.

Which would you rather be reincarnated as, a jawa or an ewok?

An Ewok, for no other reason than to annoy the Hell out of people... someone.... ;)

How do you like your eggs?

Shaken, not stirred.

Scrambled. And with ketchup! :O :D

ewanandhaydenfan5 asked....

If you met The Flannelled One, what would you say to him?

Well, aside from saying "Hey, thanks for continuing SW, and creating it for all of us in the first place", I would ask him if he ever looks at the blogs here. And if he does, does he... ever comment!? :O :D

What's your favorite aspect of the SW saga?

The relationships between the major characters and the adventure!

MomOf2YoungPadawan asked....

If you have read any of the EU books, which is your favorite and why?

Honestly.... I've never read an EU novel! :O I have Death Star sitting right here, but have been too lazy to read it. I'm not a huge fiction reader, and never really have been. But thanks to this site, and especially Wookieepedia, I'm not totally lost when EU topics come up. I'm familiar with most of the major characters and storylines so I'm not completely lost....

If you could be any of the Jedi, who would you be and why?

Probably young Obi-Wan. I guess I identify with him more than the others. Although being all of them would be a trip! Just not at the same time. :D I honestly have never thought of that...

What's in your CD player right now? (or...what was the most recent song you loaded on your iPod?)

Funny you mention that, my CD player broke recently, and I'm not getting another one. I have a speakerdock for my iPod, and use that all the time, anyway. The last song(s) I loaded was my sister's Styx: Greatest Hits CD... I love them!

The Stooge asked....

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

It would have to be me. No one else could possibly be this dramatic.

Just kidding. Leo DiCaprio. He's a good actor, we're the same age, and I look just like him.

:^O

What will be the title of your autobiography?

"Sarlacc Dearest"

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, but decided he'd rather play video games?

Well, I guess no wood if he were playing video games! :p

jkthunder asked....

Dear Pitt - I've had this pesky bounty hunter riding my tail for months, and now we're stuck on a desert skiff together. I really want to shake him, but can't seem to do it. Any advice?

- Fresh Outta Hibernation Corellian

Well, after noticing that Lando is about to become a Sarlacc snack, just turn around and hit his rocketpack with the vibro-ax you're holding. That should do the trick. ;)

GalacticBabe asked....

Which Anakin do you prefer at the end of ROTJ?

Although I think the additon of Hayden C. at the end of the newest version was brilliant, I hardly ever watch that Editon. I would have to say I don't have a preference. Sebastion Shaw doesn't bother me at all. They're both fine in my book.

Do you even like the Special Editions, or were the movies better as they were?

I think the movies were perfect as they were, and I just can't watch the SE of ANH. It just bugs the Hell out of me. I usually watch (9 times out of 10) the OOT ROTJ, as I hate the changes to many of the scenes. And yes, I think the Sarlacc was fine in the original, although the new one with the "beak" isn't all that bad... but very different!

I DO usually watch the SE of TESB, I like the cleaner transfer and the additions that they made, especially adding Ian McDiarmid as the Emperor... I love that.

But in general, they were perfect to begin with! Of course, to each his own!

Have you ever had a Star Wars dream, and if so, were you a main character or a bystander?

I've had very few, but a recent one was me running around on Cloud City with Chewie and Threepio and the gang.

And also this strange one about falling into the Sarlacc....

Wait a minute... my screen name is Sarlacc, my avatar is Lando.... am I trying to devour myself? What does that mean?! I need a drink and a shrink. :| :D

Coke or Pepsi?

Haha! Definitely Coke! :^O Ahh... the famous soda question....

Which is your favorite Star Wars movie? Or if that's too difficult, which is your least favorite?

"Star Wars", the original, the one and only, A New Hope, Episode 4, will always be my favorite. No question... :)

My least favorite depends on my current mood, to be honest! And often it's not even TPM!

Darth_Hiram asked....

What would be your favourite vacation planet in SW?

Probably Naboo. It's just so darn pretty! :x

What's your all time favourite scene in Star Wars (any movie)?

So tough to answer. But if someone put a gun to my head, I would have to say the Luke/Yoda/X-Wing/explaining the Force scene. It often chokes me up... and it's also my mom's favorite. :x

What kind of car do you drive?

I don't! I don't own one. I live right smack dab in the middle of the city and pretty much walk everywhere (my job is just two blocks from my apartment), so I really can't justify owning and paying for one. I also will occasionally take buses or taxi's, and also get rides from friends or my brother if I'm going outside of town. Sure, at times it can be a little inconvenient, but it sure does save a whole lot of $$.

amidalooine asked....

When did you first realize that SW is much more to you than a movie saga?

When I joined this site....

/shmaltz

:D

Who is your favorite SW actor outside the SW films and for what film?

Carrie Fisher, for her writing (Postcards From The Edge... hilarious!), and her role in Soapdish. Too funny.

If Anakin Skywalker were a color, what would it be?

I think you already Noooo the answer.

TPM: Green, as a novice.
AOTC: Green, with envy.
ROTS: Red, all over.
OT: Black!

What is your biggest continuity issue with the saga?

This sounds SO trite, but in TESB when they go from saying "Han" with a short A to a long one... "Hawn"... back and forth. It drives me a little nuts! :p

Have you changed your opinion about any SW character since the first time you saw him/her in one of the films?

Anakin. A more detailed response would be its own blog... there are already many that have been done that I could point out.

;)

What time do you usually go to sleep at night?

I am a total night owl, and it depends.... I work the second-shift at work, and usually don't get home until 11ish p.m. (I love that shift, btw!). Let's you really sleep in. It also depends if I'm up late IM'ing......

Jade Sabre777 asked....

What is your ringtone?

I'm such a bore, I just have the standard old ringy.

Which SW character do you most relate to?

The Sarlacc! :p :^O No, to go with MO2's question above, Obi-Wan.

What is your favorite SW quote?

"May the Force be with you". That's where it all began, and what can I say, I'm sentimental.

Which SW LEGO figure do you think is the coolest (or would be the coolest)

I don't have any SW Lego, but the Han In Carbonite one is pretty cool.

What's a duck?

Look here.

And, of course, here. :D

Well, that wraps this up... thanks for playing along!

Thanks for answering my questions! In such an entertaining manner, no less!

Oh, and Wheel Of Fortune is also the best.
That's hilarious! How do you always find these things?? (THAT should have been one of my questions...)

I need a drink and a shrink.

I think most of us here fall into that category.

What kind of car do you drive?
I don't! I don't own one.

And here I thought I was the only one! Nice to meet ya, comrade. :D

This was great, Mr. Pitt!!

Indeed! How do you really pronounce it?

Well, Han Solo himself says "Hawn" in ANH, so I'm guessing that is correct. :D

I have Death Star sitting right here, but have been too lazy to read it.
I'm not much into the EU either; I've mostly read the movie novelizations (besides just a few others) but I just finished Death Star, and it was really good. It puts yet another perspective on ANH.

Interesting answers, Pitt! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I'm not sure I've ever had a Star Wars dream...... I guess I'll just have to think about SW before bed tonight!

the Han In Carbonite one is pretty cool.
I love that one too! But the Han somehow got rubbed off - weird.

Look here.
And, of course, here.
