Obi-wan is the MAN!!!! He is way better then Anakin!!!! Anakin deserved to get his legs and arm cut off thinking he could overpower Obi. How dumb could he be??

i jedi fights for knowledge and defense never attack, obi wan is always just protecting himself, besides, as much as i love our old palanakin, it was him or obiwan, anakin was hell bent on cutting obiwan to ribbions.. obiwan is a true jedi master in all the ways anakin is not and vica versa , through out the entire fight he is just holding anakin off, he doesn;t want to hurt him, where as anakin is overpowering him and trying to kill him. skywalker probably would have won that fight hjad he just jumped a little higher or something. and i agree that obwan is an alcoholic,he should use the force to get 12 steps.

Hey! I love Anikan as much as any other Anikan fan out there. He is my favorite character too. And as much as I would have loved for there to be a happy ending in ROTS we all knew what was going to happen. I mean all the movies are all about the tragedy of Anikan Skywalker/Darth Vadar. So...I am satisfied with how everything turned out in ROTS. Obi-Wan was just making a defensive move. (I don't think his intentions were to cut both his legs and his arm). Anyways...I fell ROTS is the best of all the movies. I know how you feel seeing your favorite character defeated in such a manner, as I said Anikan is my fav character, too. But I think, all in all, that is what makes the Star Wars movies so darn good.

Hey for all I know when he was on his way to kill Greivous he probably could of had a drink in his ship. And in the storage area on Padme's ship he probably was lucky to find a drink! And when he cut Maul in half he could of had a drink in the Temple. But the other times Obi was at a bar so that pretty much explains his drinking problem. But I'm still curious onhow Obi could of had a drink in TPM because he might not have been on the legal drinking age. Still hedrank somtin without getting caught. IDIOT!

Yeah, that would have been pretty cool. Mainly because Anikan would have remained the way he was - human, not machine. The main reason I like Darth Vadar (in the suit) is because it used to be Anikan. Other than that I would've liked Anikan to remain his human form.

Yeah, I agree with darkjedi874. Darth Vader's cool because he used to be Anakin. I think that Anakin telling Luke that he is his father makes sense because it's the same person. It would be better because at least it's a person telling you that he's your father and not a machine.

i would say why i think him that way:

1) Anakin have not trained any Padawan
2) Anakin was just a Knight for 6 months
3) Anakin was only a Jedi for 13 years

Moody + Not Mature: Seen when Mace rejected him Mastery
Hunger for rank: It pretty much say it out to the whole Council that he wants mastery (rank)

Arrogant: EP2 he told Obi-Wan his swordsmanship is as strong as Yoda,
but then he lost an arm to Dooku

By the way, the (1)-(3) above was part of the reason
why Anakin does not deserve Mastery

Naive + Not mature:

Dont tell me outrage in front of the Council, buy all the lies of Palpatine,
indirectly killing Mace, and right after that invade the temple, murders hundred
of comrades, KILLING HALF A DOZEN YOUNGLINGS, slaughter the CIS Council,
choke his wife to mortal danger... Please dont tell me all these together still
makes Anakin Skywalker mature and smart.

This is my answer for Darth Kevinmhk.

First of all you say that Obi-Wan is more "attractive" in the PT. I disagree with that because Anikan is my favorite character. Plain and simple.

As for the rest: Anikan is the tragic hero of the PT. He is supposed to be The Chosen One and go on to destroy the Sith. But from the start his training has been anything but ordinary. He has a lot to overcome in his life - leaving the only place he ever knew to go with someone he hardly knows to become a jedi. And then have that man who took you under his wing and beleived in you, even when the jedi council did't, die in battle.

Then in episode ii, after being away for so long from anything he ever knew and not to be remembered by the one person he ever cared for (other than his mother). That hurts. He eventually gets Padme to tap into her true feelings - only to go to Tatooine tohave his mother die in his arms.

Anikan doesn't know what to do. All his life he has had to live up to being The Chosen One. He may be arrogant in Episode II but wouldn't you? Your supposed to be the best jedi ever - but your being trained as a regular - being "held back."

I guess what i am trying to say is there are reasons Anikan has some of his characteristics. Some of them may be his own fault and some may be the jedi council's fault He has had a rough life. A lot to live up to. And to clairify things i'm talking about Anikan Skywalker. When you talk about killing younglings etc. that is Dart Vadar (in human form) not Anikan Skywalker. That is the person formilly known as Anikan twisted by the dark side, by Sidious.

Twisted or not, Vader or Ani, he chose by his own free will. Even GL in DVD
Audio commentary keep saying this. He knew what he was doing, he knew
