Destroy Malevolence:
This episode was a great conclusion to the series' first 3 part series. It started with "Rising Malevolence" which took place in space with Anakin and Ashoka trying to save Plo and find out what the Sep's new weapon was, then it continued with an alright episode of "Shadow of Malevolence" which was Anakin, Ashoka, Plo Koon, and Odball's pilots going to defend the Republic's medical station from the Malevolence, but now it has ended with an awesome episode of "Destroy Malevolence" which is about exactly what the title says.
It starts off with Padme and C-3PO crashing into Malevolence after a Jump to hyper space to meet up with Anakin, Ashoka and Obi. Padme and 3PO flee the scene quickly before Greivous finds where they crashed. Padme and 3PO run around the ship looking for means of communication with Anakin and the rest of the fleet. With the Malevolence in a very bad condition, Republic cruisers are taking advantage of the situation and preparing to take down the Malevolence ASAP. Anakin is contacted at the last minute by Padme and she lets him know not to attack yet for obvious reasons. Anakin goes with Obi-Wan and R2 to rescue Padme and take care of some other things real quickly. When Anakin and Obi land on the ship, they make their way through waves of droids to finally get to the meeting point where Padme and Anakin should meet at. Although Padme is being attacked by more droids than the two Jedi, she is also two levels down from them. Anakin and Obi-Wan jump down while R2 goes back to the ship. Anakin makes way to cover Padme and save her while Obi-Wan goes to rescue 3PO since he's being thrown around by hanging debris from passing by trains. Eventually, Obi-Wan catches up with 3PO but he gets pushed away again. Meanwhile, Anakin and Padme are together and fine, but while Obi-Wan chases 3PO around, he orders Anakin to take Padme and find a way to stop the Malevolence from escaping the Republic Cruisers' fire range.
When Obi-Wan jumps in a spot he thinks 3PO is in, he finds two droids working at a station. Soon, two turn into twenty and then twenty turns into forty and so on until Greivous makes his appearance. Obi-Wan starts chopping down droids and then gets chased down by Greivous on the train paths. After a couple seconds of jumping around on trains and a few lightsaber clashes here and there, Obi-Wan finally escapes on a train far below. 3PO lands on a train that R2 finds through a scanner and instantly stops it. 3PO goes flying into a pile of boxes for the second time in a row. Soon, R2 and 3PO meet up and make their way back to the ship. When Anakin and Padme make it to the Control Center, they destroy all the droids working on the damaged hyper drive and re-writes the nav coordinates. Padme cleans up all the droid scraps so the droids that come back don't know that Ani and Padme have been there. Coincidentally, as soon as Anakin's elevator door closes, the other elevator door right next to it opens with three battle droids inside. They think since nobody is working on the hyper drive, that the hyper drive is fixed. The three droids start the nav sequence. When the nav sequence is started, Anakin, Padme, Obi-Wan, R2, and 3PO meet up at the Twilight. As soon as they depart, they are intercepted by Greivous and his Vultures. Padme figures out how to use the Twilight's weapons and shoots out all the Vultures except Greivous's ship. On the Malevolence, when the nav sequence is activated, the ship turns toward the moon right next to the ship and starts flying at full speed into it. Anakin had programed the ship to run head into the moon. When Greivous flees the scene, Dooku contacts him and asks him if he's meeting him at the "rally point". Greivous doesn't say a word and shuts off his comm and leaves the area. Dooku is frustrated. Republic is victorious.
THE END!
Now, I thought this episode was nice because it was one of the few with a lot of action in it. It had an action sequence (May not be big, but it was there) about every couple minutes or so. That's what I liked, the graphics in the battles. It also did a lot with the relationship between Anakin and Padme and how, even in the midst of battle, they can still find ways to be together as a married couple. It also showed more of 3PO because we haven't seen much of him through out the movie or the series so far.
Now the parts that I didn't care much for were things like when Obi fought the droids in that one section where he first meets up with Greivous. It seemed like the ROTS book all over again. Even almost the exact same quotes were used! I wasn't very happy about that. I also didn't like that when 3PO got hit by the train dead on as much as he did and get flung into boxes as much as he did and not even a dent on his plating. Yet a battle droid just gets hit by a train and explodes. And the last part is that I didn't like how they avoided Ashoka and Plo so much. They need to be brought out more. They even showed Luminara sometimes but she never appeared in action.
Oh well, can't always get it perfect. Anyhow, I know we keep saying that "next episode looks great!" well, I'm gonna have to say that again. Think about it, assassin droids+bored battle hungry clones=an awesome episode!
