The episode starts out with a CIS pod crashing into a moon occupying a Republic watch station. The station is meant to watch out for CIS forces that plan to take out Kamino. On another CIS ship, Greivous is planning to invade Kamino and sent Asajj over to the clones' home make sure it's clear to invade. The pod on the moon releases many assassin droids that take out a sentry soldier. The droids make their way forcefully into the station and confront the clones inside. Eventually, the clones are cornered and are taken hostage by the assassin droids. All but the clones' sarge secretly escape. Rex and Cody are sent over to the station for an inspection. The squad's captured sarge tries to drive Cody and Rex away from the station but is unsuccessful. The sarge is sent to confront Rex and Cody when they land. Rex shoots the soldier in the head and finds that it's actually an assassin droid in clone armor. Cody and Rex are ambushed by assassin droids and makes it look like they die, when droids launch grenades at them, so they can escape to the ground. Cody and Rex meet up with the rest of the squad and find out that the squad's sarge is dead.
The group plans to take back the station by force. Meanwhile on a Republic cruiser, Anakin and Obi-Wan are trying to find out where Greivous is and trying to find Rex and Cody at the same time. Rex manages to get the droids to open the entry blast doors by disguise. Rex and Cody and the rest of the squad engage in a gunfight in the central area. All the droids are destroyed but more work needs to be done... Especially when the clone squad looks up to find Greivous's fleet heading past the moon. Greivous sends a lander to see what's going on in the station since the droids sent are not replying. The clones see that they're outnumbered by the droids. The clones decide to destroy the outpost instead of try and take it back. They know once Anakin and Obi-Wan see the signal from the oupost is gone, they'll send help for the troops. A heavy gunner is sent to defend the entry while other clones set charges to destroy the base. Rex and Cody with the squad escape but Heavy stays behind to guard the detonator and fix it because it seems to be functioning wrong. Heavy dies protecting the detonator but sets it off successfully. As planned, the Republic comes the aid the remaining troops and also, luckily Greivous's forces meet up with Republic ships right above the outpost and drive Greivous and his fleet out of the system. The remaining clones receive medals for their honorable duty and join the 501st!
THE END!
This episode was great! I mean, I actually said what I said I'd say last week! This episode was great! This episode dealt a lot with clones and their personalities, showed TONS of action, had some crazy moments in it, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! In the intro, it showed each Clone's perspective of their job and the facility and how they feel about battle and boredom and what not. It just explained a lot about clones and their personal perspectives which I thought was great! The action was awesome! I mean, every ten seconds there was a gun fight! Also, the suspense of if a clone would survive or not was all there. When Heavy stayed to guard the bomb, I was clutching my knees hoping that he'd survive. The freaky scene (Which I forgot to mention in the summary because it was so short) where the centipede type creature crawled out of a hole and ate one of the clones from the squad, that spooked me out big time!
Now the only thing I can think of as a negative is that there were no saber battles and Jedi were barely incorporated into the episode. No Ashoka either. I guess that's a good thing though because we've seen Jedi action in every episode so far. I think it was time to take a break.
All in all, I loved this episode, best one so far in my opinion. I don't know about the next episode though, I didn't catch the preview much so I can't say if it'd be good or not.
BTW: For those of you who didn't get to watch it tonight, there was a notice saying that the next episode, if you can catch it, will be two weeks from now since it's gonna be Halloween night next friday and everyone will be out trick-or-treating.
Anyhow, check back two weeks from now for my next review for the next episode of Clone Wars!
