Irony of Young Anakin
Once again, when Spike TV is showing a Star Wars marathon and I had Phantom Menace on in the background the other night.

I was actually paying attention during the scene in the Skywalker's dining room.

Qui-Gon is talking to Anakin about Jedi.

Anakin remarks about Qui-Gon's "laser sword" and that only Jedi carry one. Qui-Gon suggests that maybe he killed the Jedi and took it.

Anakin responds that Jedi can't be killed.

Ironic that the being who grew up to kill more Jedi than anyone else thought that Jedi couldn't be killed. At the same time I was being impressed with GL having that level of foreshadowing, I also found myself thinking, how ironic that the young boy who naively thought Jedi can't be killed becomes the monster that kills more Jedi than any one else in the galaxy.
