How good is the Lor Pelek?
I recently reread Star Wars: Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover. In the story Windu describes Lor Pelek, Kar Vastor, as having powers akin to that of Master Yoda When he healed the Korunnai guerrillas. I am curious to know who would win, in the event that Yoda, instead of Windu, went to Haruun Kal. For that matter, how do you think Sidious or one of his apperntices would stand up to the Lor Pelek?

Kar Vastor was far beyond the dark side. He was just savage. The Jedi and Sith were trained with certain ideals and fighting styles. Kar was different. You read how bad he beat mace. It was horrible. No Jedi or Sith could ever hope to beat him. He had different weapons. Strange weapons at that. He was literally a wild beast.

Oh and welcome to the blogs.

If you re-read Shatterpoint, you will find that when Lor Pelek beat Mace, Mace specifically chose to fight him - only to cause pain - not to cause injury or death.

On top of this, when the end game ocurred Mace instantly defeated him without even lifting his arm, which caused significant injury - within a centimeter of cutting into Kar Vastor heart.

So, one could say the first meeting with Lor Pelek, Mace fought with one hand behind his back and he did so knowing Lor Pelek would be useful in his quest to save his former Padawan - provided he submit to the savage.
