Catching up...
Well, it looks like I may have managed to completely miss posting in September. It all depends on how the system dates this particular post. It's not like I haven't been checking up on the blog, but for some reason it just didn't feel like I had the time to stop and actually and enter something.

And there's good reason for that. I've been busy with freelance assignments. I don't expect to have a lot of time over the next month or so, but I'll try to do a little better. But more on that down the road.

This time, I'll try to catch up on a few things that happened since August:

The first information for the upcoming Force Unleashed set for the Star Wars Miniatures game hit the Wizards of the Coast site.

Wizards posted another one of my scenarios for the Star Wars Miniatures game. This time it's Detention Breakout, a scenario using minis from the Alliance and Empire set, as well as a few others. Its rebels versus imperials, with no fancy unique characters to get in the way. I also revived the location from my original game product Flashpoint! Brak Sector. It's interesting, for many scenarios I created one-off locations to add a bit of flavor. There's no reason I have to do that though, so I may be using aspects of my older products when I can. It just depends on the needs of the scenario.

Wizards has also posted a couple of additional articles in the series on customizing your Star Wars minis.

For Saga Edition, a number of useful articles are now up:
The official conversion guide, providing guidelines on converting from the RCR rules to Saga Edition. Keep in mind that these are guidelines. They won't produce as accurate results as creating something from scratch, but they will give you quick results.

The FAQ for the upcomingDawn of Defiance RPG campaign is now available.

Another Saga Edition web enhancement has been posted, this time featuring the Pau'ans.

There are also a couple of articles about GenCon:
There are some photos featuring some of the Star Wars events at the con, taken by yours truly.

And there is an extensive article covering the Star Wars Miniatures events including the championship.

I managed to find enough time to watch the Family Guy Star Wars episode. There is an hour I could use back. I'm not a Family Guy fan by any stretch of imagination, but that episode was just awful and often dull. Obi-wan was creepy beyond words, and very little of the episode was actually funny. Since when are the subjects of pedophilia and drug abuse suitable for Star Wars parody? The Robot Chicken version was much funnier, although aspects of that I could've done without as well.

Just about the only parts of Family Guy I found amusing were the references to John Williams and Seth Green ripping on the episode at the end. The animation was interesting, even though they pretty much traced all the cells off the original film. Somehow, they even managed to leave in the original explosions. We couldn't delete this one off the DVR fast enough.

Well, that's about it for now.
