Now available right here on starwars.com, a preview for the upcoming Threats to the Galaxy RPG sourcebook.

I don't have much to say on this one - I know only a little more than what's in the previews - but I'm very much looking forward to it. It's been described as a "monster manual" style book for the Star Wars RPG. Not literally, of course, as there are far more than just creatures here. Basically, it's a book of enemies gamemasters can throw at the players. I know it will be something that makes running a game simpler - no need to create some stats ahead of time, and you have a greater selection of ready-made enemies you can throw into a game spontaneously.

Also in RPG news, someone dropped me a note to say that this year's Ubercon will feature Guest of Honor Timothy Zahn (author of Heir the the Empire series and others) and guest Peter Schweighofer (former Star Wars Adventure Journal editor at WEG, co-author of the upcoming Force Unleashed Campaign Guide). There's a charity Star Wars RPG event with Peter running the game and Zahn playing Grand Admiral Thrawn - that ought to be a blast. I won't be attending (it's a long way from here), but I'd encourage others in the area to check it out April 25-27.
