Ok, Blog of the day has come knocking again.....let's see what I can throw together. Fortunately, it's been awhile since I posted, so here's few things I haven't gotten around to yet:
The
Star Wars Essential Atlas is awesome and easily the best
Star Wars book produced in a long time. It's useful, informative and above all, fun and fascinating to read. If you're an EU fan, the atlas is a must. If you're not an EU fan, it's still immensely useful and entertaining. Don't forget to see the making-of notes on Starwars.com and Daniel Wallace's blog(s) for excellent behind the scenes insight on the massive effort to create the atlas. And the
online companion....
Over at
Wizards of the Coast, the new
Galaxy at War minis previews have hit the site. There's also a new Jedi Counseling (focusing on starships) and previews from the
Rebellion Era Campaign Guide are still around. The
Galaxy at War RPG book hit stores this month as well, and great for those who like soldier type characters.
At the Order 66
podcast, Rodney Thompson will make another appearance this week to talk Galaxy at War. Also check out a recent episode with Vader's Secret Apprentice, Sam Witwer, talking about RPGs and running games.
Finally, another
Star Wars author is in need of some help. John Ostrander, one of the creators of the
Legacy (and other) Star Wars comic book lines is battling glaucoma. Friends of his have started a website to help raise money for recent surgery through sales of donated art, etc. See
comix4sight.com for more details.
