Wizards of the Coast posted the final official preview for the new Champions of the Force miniatures set. The set is due out very soon now. A few fortunate fans were able to pick up some boosters early at one of the conventions.

This preview features Jacen and Jaina Solo, as well as the Jedi Sentinel. Jacen and Jaina feature abilities from around the time of Balance Point in the New Jedi Order series. Their RPG stats have been updated from the NJO sourcebook for the Revised Core Rulebook rules.

Jedi Sentinels are from Knights of the Old Republic.

Also, the newest Star Wars Miniatures FAQ has been posted. Among other additions and revisions, it includes some clarifications for the Endor map from my product, the Attack on Endor Scenario Pack. We discussed this right after the product was released in February, but it takes awhile for the FAQ info to filter through Wizards and Lucasfilm Licensing.

Q:Are the rules in the Special Rules section considered official rules for use in sanctioned play?
A: No. They are for use in the included scenarios and homemade scenarios you might invent on your own.

Q: Can the characters included in the set be used in sanctioned play?
A: Yes, the characters meet all the requirements for use in sanctioned play.

Q: Concealment refers to the "green-tinted" area on the Endor map. There's no noticeably green tint anywhere on the map. Was this intended to refer to areas within the greenish-brown lines that are on the map, but not explained?
A: The tint is somewhat difficult to see among all the green. It covers all the difficult terrain within the treeline (the greenish-brown line), not all squares within the treeline.

Q: Under Power Unit, one of the items says the character gains +5 damage. Is this correct?
A: The item should read +10 Damage.
