It's been extremely busy around here with various work deadlines, freelance deadlines and the run up to GenCon next week. Here's a few items that weren't really long enough for their own entry:
Ok, GenCon first. GenCon is next week. The
Star Wars game seminar is Thursday. Those who can't make it should keep an eye on their favorite
Star Wars RPG and minis gaming sites for the latest news. I hope to post something here as well, but that largely depends on timing and internet access. We'll see.
I usually don't go in for cheesy collectibles, but something about the R2-D2 cereal bowl offer in Crispix plus the lightsaber spoon they gave away in the box was too funny to pass up. I put off sending in the offer for the bowl for months......almost to the deadline. Anwyay, the bowl showed up this week. It's amusing. I tried to find a picture to provide a link, but couldn't locate one. Anway, you know what it looks like - R2D2's head, suitable for chips or a LOT of cereal. The base even beeps and lights up, which ought to go well with the light up lightsaber spoon. Like I said, cheesy.
There's a
Star Wars Miniatures game survey at the Wizards site. There are some RPG questions as well, so RPG fans should also participate.
Minis fans...you wanted snowspeeders to go with your walkers, they will be in the upcoming Bounty Hunter's set, as announced by the main minis game designer.
Here it is.
LucasArts
finally posted a patch for
Empire at War that, in theory, fixes the campaign breaking bug introduced in the last patch....and the reason I haven't played since then. I haven't tried the patch yet, and the LA forums lead me to believe it may not fix things after all, but we'll see.
