And the red one. Well, come on red, let's go!
First off let me say Happy 30th Anniversary to Star Wars. Second I'd like to apologize for not celebrating on the actual anniversary and for not writing a blog celebrating it on that day. Anyway, I am currently watching Episode IV right now in honor of the 30th Anniversary, and I stumbled across something that I never thought about before, which is odd enough considering several times during the viewing of the movie I dissected it slowly writing down observations. The thing I asked myself was, "Why does Uncle Owen buy an 'astro-droid'? "

Now despite the fact that this might have little importance, if you think about it, it does seem quite odd doesn't it? Why would Uncle Owen want an astro-droid like the "red one" or R2-D2? What purpose could they serve. Now of course any of the other junky droids there wouldn't be much help on a moisture farm, but I'm sure one of those junky droids would have been more useful. Is that just me? Let me know what you guys think.

MTFBWY... Always.

HAPPY 30th ANNIVERSARY!

P.S. Two things worth noting: I just got to the part where Luke is attacked by the Sand People and if you look closely Luke's rifle has a bayonet on it until the one of the Sand People knocked it off with their stick. I had noticed that before, but never took the time to freeze frame it and see what it was he knocked away (which was the bayonet). The second thing I have noted many times before and just never wrote about it until what you're about to read; it is when Luke and Obi-wan are in his home talking, Obi-wan is describing Anakin and says "He was the best star-pilot in the galaxy... and a cunning warrior. I understand you've become quite a good pilot yourself. And he was a good friend." Right after saying this, Obi-wan looks like he is in deep thought. He seems disturbed for a slight second and then smiles in remembrance of his old friend. When he says that phrase, especially the "cunning warrior" and "good friend", it seems to me that he is thinking about his last encounter and fight with Anakin and then begins reminiscing about their past with the good times they had before that. Just thought those two were interesting observations that I though some of you might have found previously or would like to examine for yourselves.

P.P.S. I choose the picture because I could'nt find one of the cute little red droid and this pic shows the boyonet I talked about in the P.S.
