Legacy of Star Wars: Random Ramblings
I watched the two documentaries on the Legacy of Star Wars and the Tech of Star Wars and found them very intriguing. Tonight I wrote a blog about the Legacy of Star Wars that will be revealed at another time. For now I'd like to discuss a few things i noted during the documentaries tonight.

Random ramblings or observations:

-Did anyone realize how they continuously mentioned Lord of the Rings? I know there are some worthy comparisons and I am a huge fan, but I think they overdid those references especially considering Star Wars came first.
-Naboo means wisdom; Padme = queen of wisdom
-I was hoping they were going to mention Anakin and Sidious/Plagueis possibly being a father vs. son conflict (see my blog on whether one of them is Anakin's creator), but they didn't.
-Someone in the documentary stated that they had a feeling of dread as the Emperor announced the creation of the Galactic Empire. This happened to me to and I liked that they brought it up.
-Last act Luke does is to burn "all that is Vader"
-Empire favors machines whereas Rebellion, although they use technology, they rely on themselves, as can be seen when Luke turns off targeting computer.
-Women are associated with life, so empire has no women.

Anyway that's all my rambling thoughts for tonight, tune in tomorrow night or this weekend for my blog on the Legacy of Star Wars (depending on when I finish writing it).

Happy 30th. MTFBWY

Interesting blog, but I feel the need to point out that Star Wars in fact came a long time after Lord of the Rings; Star Wars (as we all know) came out in theaters in 1977, whereas Lord of the Rings was published sometime in the 40's or 50's. But the other points were interesting; I'm not a huge fan of the whole Plageuis/Anakin line, but I agree with the symbolic 'burning of Vader' and the associations of the Rebellion with humanity and life.
Overall, nice blog. :)

Wonderful line!

so empire has no women
Might I point out Admiral Daala, Shira Brie, Mara Jade.... Although, yes, according to the character guide, it is true that women were no longer promoted in the ranks of the military.
