The Battle of Endor was all engineered by Emperor Palpatine as the battle to crush the Rebel Alliance. Fortunately, Palpatine hadn't reckoned on the resourcefulness of the Alliance's warrior or that his apprentice still had good in him. The battle instead spelled doom for the Empire.
