Quick back to school entry
The kids are back to school now, and all I can say is "Where did the summer GO?"

We're up one student in the home now, we have an exchange student from Germany with us now. He's a great kid, I can only hope mine grow up to be as polite and mellow as he is! The local high school makes all exchange students seniors, so we now have a senior, first grader, kindergartener and preschooler in the home. The dog falls somewhere in the middle. She'll be 13 in 10 days, so she'd be a middle-schooler for sure.

Speaking of the dog, she's a German Shepherd dog, so we trained her in German. Our exchange student has informed us that you need to speak German to her with an American accent before she'll listen :(

Finally, M got LEGO Star Wars II for his birthday (9/12). Both boys LOVE it. They don't have enough free-play characters to make their own "smash up" players yet, but it's not for lack of effort (probably because mean old mom has limited their playing time).

That's all for now. I promise we haven't dropped off the face of the earth, it's just that I've been doing a lot of fall projects.
