I've seen Sith
I am back home from the midnight screening of ROTS here in Germany.
I was there with four friends.

We agreed that there are some brilliant scenes in it. We also agreed that the movie was not the movie we hoped for. We had somewhat different oppinions about what was bad and how bad it was.

Here is my spoiler dripping review, so be warned:

Beware of the spoilers...

The brilliant:

-Anakin and the Younglings. This was perfect.
-The part starting with Obi Wan telling Padme what had become of her husband up to Anakin catching fire in the Lava of Mustafa. The lightsaber duells are amazing.
-The Emperors schemes

The good:
-Great storyline, this movie has the most content of all the Star Wars movies. There happen a lot of things.
-The Jedi purge. Very enotional. Well done.

The bad:
-The space battle is disappointing. Too many pictures in too less time. Only three types of capital ships. The big Trade fed battleships and some small Republic and Seperatist cruisers. The battle in Episode VI had definitely less ships, but there where the Rebel Transports, Frigates, Huge Mon Cal cruisers, Small Mon Cal cruisers, Star Destroyers and the amazing Executor. This battle shows a disturbing lack of creativity. Grevious Flag ship is just a version of the other Separatist ships which bigger fins.
-One of my friends was thought that the movie sometimes too desperately tried to match with the OT.

The ugly:
-I personally think the revelation of the identity of Darth Vader was unnecessary and done in an embarassing and downright cheesy way.
"Well now you're Darth Vader my littly curly pupil..." My friends don't think it was done that bad. We all agree the movie would have been better off if Anakin would have been called Skywalker until his presumed demise in the Lava of Mustafa. And then this new pupil Darth Vader from seemingly nowhere would have been risen.

On the bottom line: Two of us thought it was ok, one said this was the final end of his Star Wars fandom. And I don't think Episode I was that bad after all. This film is definitely not the third movie in a six movie saga. It really does not fit in there. It makes not much sense to watch the movies in the order from one to six. At least not for me.
