Greetings from a Galaxy Far Far Away...

Recently I was cleaning up the backyard, which is filled with junk. Long story short, it was put there 3 years ago and more or less forgotten about. I found a couple action figures and Star Wars toys, but the big finds were some electric erasers. I looked at these erasers and realized that if you held them from where the cable comes out, it looks just like a blaster pistol. Some spray paint and replacement of the cable with a handgrip and it's a great costume prop.

So I brought them to my dad and asked if I could use them for that purpose, but because they still worked, he wanted to keep them. However, he did offer to help me build a costume. When I first found the erasers, I thought they would go great with a Han Solo costume. Thinking about it later, I realized that that would be pretty easy to make, and a good first costume.

I'll put up pictures when I get started, and hopefully it'll be ready by the end of October. If anyone else has done anything similar or has any advice I'd be happy to hear it. I'm looking forward to seeing more SW-related costumes as we get closer to the end of October.
